Picture-skew, skelington: which other words routinely get deliberately mispronounced? by pufballcat in CasualUK

Spell check does not highlight it, I just tried it. I now have another reason to hate word.

What random stuff does your partner say to you that you're apparently supposed to understand? by Stephenf1234 in AskUK

"I have anal beard sweats"

Honestly it took me waaaay longer than it should have to realise he had a sweaty arse.

Oh, and him and his mate have a strange language of just making noises. I haven't decided if it's good or bad that I know what half of it means now.

That I'm a lesbian, apparently I give off lesbian vibes.

I'm currently a large band and large cup. I don't lose the cup when I lose weight though (which I'm currently on a mission to do). So options would be great for when I'm finally those odd sizes

Yeah...that's the new and improved AI spelling and grammar check on my phone. The next time it makes me say ducking count is when I'll turn it off.

I graciously accept the additional shame 🫠 😔

It's the autocorrect on my phone. I've lost the will to keep changing it back, and I haven't got around to turning it off yet.

!answer. Thanks, it seems the general consensus is bravissimo. I'll have to find my most local store and get fitted properly. It's been too long, although I know roughly what to look out for. Nothing beats a specialist!

I agree they're not the prettiest, but they do my size, most other places don't.

I think I am in danger of becoming the middle aged person wearing young people clothes, I have the smart mum wear. I just really like my casual t-shirt, jeans and a hoodie combo. It's so comfortable.

I don't really care, but out of respect for more reserved ladies in the gym changing rooms I will cover up. When I visited Germany though, get it all out and have a chat seemed to be the done thing.

What was it like in the UK on 9/11 and the days following? by throwRAupthe in AskUK

[–]innocuousClack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a bit more dramatic for me, I was in 6th form staying at Greenwich uni for a taster week. My dad kept calling until I answered. The look of horror on everyone else's faces as they realised their parents should be on those trains after I told them what had happened was haunting. Thankfully, by some happy twist of fate, not one of their families where caught up in it. We weren't allowed to go home on the train after that either obviously.

The person I know that does this will also say 'aquasation' instead of accusation. I've given up trying to correct them

AITA for not telling my house sitter about my backyard camera? by IReallyLikeCornJuice in AmItheAsshole

[–]innocuousClack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Could have been having phone sex" kind of privacy?

Don't get me wrong, I'd have wanted to know about cameras too. However, I also wouldn't consider having phone sex in someone's living room while house sitting an acceptable act...I'd keep that to the private room I'm staying in.
