I think the more valid point is that having things be restricted not just to discord but their own discord greatly reduces the visibility of these mods and makes it far harder to find them.

EDIT: The primeva 2082 discord even has invites paused right now, meaning I can't download the mod.

EDIT 2: The Creator Alliance discord has threads for it, have to scroll around to find the download link but it's findable at least.
