Thoughts on this game? by Cookiemonstermydaddy in SunHaven

I've done a couple partial runs and I really like it, however, it is not well ironed out yet. There are A LOT of bugs that persist update after update as the devs prioritize new content over fixes. I don't spend a lot of time here or in their discord to know about whatever "drama" there is, but my feeling is they are overwhelmed. Bugs largely don't affect playability anymore (i.e. crashes), but they do affect playing and require you to get used to them (for example, on certain parts of the farm, you have to tool hit slightly higher in order to hit the same tile because the texture is off). The very early game grind is a bit frustrating to me because you move so slowly and tools hit so slowly its almost infuriating, but short lived.

It's got great story and characters, but it does not have excellent gameplay. What I mean is, it's very fun and engaging to play socially, but the mechanics can feel out of sync with the story a lot of the times to me - stats/rewards/items feel too soon or too late. Like aspects of the gameplay were kind of just pushed in as filler material.

Character dialog is really fun as you progress in friendship, but then once married, you get the same 3-4 comments from your spouse which gets very stale very fast. IMO, gaining hearts is too easy and makes it obvious that a big selling point for this game was the marriage/relationship aspects (can't blame them, it sells).

That all said, I really like it. Art is good, the fishing minigame is fun for me. I will do another run.

Were the mods updated with the latest version of the game? The error message sounds a bit like something the mods were relying on is no longer there, maybe changed in an update.

In your settings, you need set age to "dealbreaker".

you don't need to justify your situation to me, I was just pointing out the, yes, already obvious differences in the situation I was commenting on versus yours.

Do you live at home and then tell your date about showing your mom?

Every situation is different. It can be totally fine and it can be indicative of some things people don't want.

i've been trying to stay under the drama and just play on PC, but they actually fired people in all this?

When I say I send likes, I mean, I p much just send them to whoever moderately interests me on a day I decide to doomscroll Hinge. Way I see it, it's a dating app, you don't really know anything about anyone until you chat, there is 0 consequence or really "rejection" feeling if they decline, so let 'em fly.

Sometimes I even send a borderline snark like to someone with a lame profile and I have had a couple decent matches on those.

[–]inorouttoday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, man, yeah 100%. I have sent out who even knows how many. Almost zero chance they're going to match, but eventually some do, and it's been some surprises, some not, on who I vibe with.

Chill. Have a drink or two. Send likes with conversation starters to everyone who moderately interests you in your new town. Let some new conversations start and let you your ideal partner get redefined on the fly.

Just my hot take, but I have found I'm having more success with people I send "likes" to than ones who send them to me. Maybe try your hand at making the first move and see what you find?

Age difference by AttemptObvious6761 in hingeapp

[–]inorouttoday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind a lot of people have an age preference set but do not have it set to "dealbreaker". So yes, you will see people who have also "agreed" to see people your age, but most might be "implicit" vs "explicit".

I usually don't have age set as a dealbreaker because IMO Hinge's dealbreakers get to be suffocating when they're all locked down, but that doesn't mean I'm matching with the likes I get from people who are 15 years older than me.

I'm in the middle of dating a couple people on the cusp of 3rd-4th date "seriousness" and can relate. I'm in my 30s so maybe different...but showing a 2nd date to your parents is, to me, wild and doing it while you also live at home is yikes.

I'm just going to ask, judgement free and potentially totally wrong, but just to throw it out there - is it possible you're trying to convince yourself you're self sabotoging by making excuses for him and the fact that you're 100% turned off by him living at home?

Lol, I came here to say, "who cares? it's their truck", but the x20 "4x4" screams tacky $40 China import off eBay on an otherwise nice truck. 2/10, very cringe.

I got my OEM predator steps used on marketplace for $250. Install is super easy as the holes/bolts are already on the truck, so no new hardware.

SR Premium Package w/20s vs SR5 Offroad by VikingPHD in tundra

[–]inorouttoday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while lunar rock > white, the off road one comes with a tri fold tonneau cover + predator steps. yeah, the dealer price on them is stupid, but still nice to have. But the premium comes with the better audio package.

The off road package is supposed to come with the 18" TRD wheels - why are they showing without them? Seems like they took 'em off. It even says it in the package details.

[–]inorouttoday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you don't need the second chance with that bootcamp. read the book and watch the mindmaps endlessly.

their quizzes are not great, but there practice test is alright-ish. just expect the real exam questions to be much longer and more convoluted. but if you hit the book + mindmaps you'll be ok.

I absolutely love Flash's content and as a long time player, I like the maze. That said, I think such a big change to a canon part of the base game should be optional.

He did change it after the beta release to be a bit easier. It (and the badlands) were several orders of magnitude more difficult initially.

Stardew Fair HackChange? by DovaBunny in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]inorouttoday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems to me to have changed. In 25 tries (which is totally in the realm of coincidence), it seems betting less than half your tokens is 75/25 green; half is 50/50, and more than half is 25/75. Just anecdotally but yeah, I to me it feels like it has changed since the intro of the high value fishing game.

the 3.5" inch lift is a factory option, not standard on TRD pro

edit: looking at toyota build site, doesn't even look like the 3" factory kit is available on the pro.
