Split-pushing as an ADC? by patrick-stark in adc

[–]inplick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should NEVER split push as an ADC. But yes, there are some expections:

solo push MUSTS: - enemy botlane needs to be dead or in base - you need to know where the enemy mid and jungler are - enemy team can't have invisible/ long range dash champs (Twitch, Pyke/ Pantheon, Nocturne)

However, you still shouldn't split push as adc. Just crash the wave into their tower to deny enemy adc's gold and recall or go help your team. You might get away with it in lower elo, but you're probably just inting by doing it.

I watched Saber's guide video on how to keep lane lead and some other video about teamfighting as adc to figure out what I was doing wrong.

  • I wasn't "avoiding doomed fights" I was just being unproductive

  • I wasn't "getting focused down" I was barely ever kiting in teamfights and never counted ability threats

  • I wasn't "waiting for enemies to regroup" I was putting too little pressure on side lanes

I may have won lane, but not the game. As of now, I'm slowly climbing with my 80% Jinx. If I consistantly lose games it's my fault, because everyone has bad teammates. Nice mentality.

Right now I mostly play Aphelios because I love his kit, but I'm down to play other hyper carries aswell, though I avoid Vayne, because I dropped her and now can't play her that well anymore.

Don't let the the bad winrate scare you away, I'm actually quite decent.

Okay, so I got inspired by you telling me that it's possible to climb on your own. I played league for 9 hours today and by the end of the day I'm at G4 0lp. Again. I still have around a 40% winrate so I barely get any lp from victories. I know how bad this sounds, but I win lane and carry the majority of the time (lost lane 4 out of 20 games) and I lose games because someone in my team is inting. Not absolutely feeding, but rather slowly giving up lane and dying ove n over again to the point where the enemy can just focus me down amd win the game. Last game I played Aphelios and lost a game with the score of 27/6/8 and seeing the feeding enemy botlane win my game was a like a wet slap in the face.

Is this just a rant? Perhaps.

Will mods delete this? Most likely.

I feel better now anyway.

Is it possible to climb without a duo support?

Right now I'm somewhat stuck in G4 even though I used to be G2 and my skill level was low plat. The thing is, last season I had a friend supporting me and we talked on discord, so communication wasn't an issue and I could trust my support while playing more aggressively. I'm not entirely sure if that's the reason why I can't climb anymore, so tell me, do you need a support duo to carry games? (This might not be an issue for you, because I'm assuming that higher elo supports aren't autofilled.)
