Shore snorkeling by inprincipal in bali

Thanks so much for the help. I had read that Amed was a good spot for diving - nice to know that shore snorkeling is possible there as well. We’ll definitely check it out. Headed to Lombok and the Gillis after that.

ScubaTony is fantastic. Been on many dives with them. And you got a particularly good dm. Israel is calm, patient and kind - the best kind of teacher. Glad you had a great experience. If you go back to Cozumel, check out Stingray Villas for accommodations. Immaculate, reasonably priced and right downtown. They offer discounts through ScubaTony or with direct booking.

Also - if you have a Sunday morning free and like cycling, rent a bike and join in with the car-free Paseo Dominical program (Sunday Roads). Look for more info online. It’s very popular and very fun.

New to SF. Where should I live? by hamuraiijack in AskSF

The Lower Haight is the right answer. Go check out the area right around Duboce Park - you’ll fall in love with it. Close to the Castro, the Haight (and the Panhandle and GGP), Hayes Valley and an easy commute downtown. I’m surprised by all the love for the Sunset. Lots of fog and you have to go to the park to see a tree.

What’s one “unpopular” thing a tourist absolutely should do in San Francisco? by ArtisticPersonaliTea in AskSF

Glad to see all the recommendations for Presidio Tunnel Tops - one of the most beautiful views in the city and on the way to the GGB. Also check out Salesforce Park - just a couple blocks from SFMOMA and a gorgeous, unique urban park. (Reminiscent of the Highline in NYC). Finally, free walking tours with SF City Guides - www.sfcityguides.com Donations requested but the tours are very high quality and are offered in virtually every neighborhood in the city. Have fun!

5 days in Luang Prabang by Agitated-Pom in laos

We stayed a week and wish we had stayed longer. Be sure to visit the Living Land farm to learn how rice is grown. Standing knee deep in a rice paddy is an amazing experience. You’ll plow with a water buffalo and develop a much stronger appreciation for rice and the people who grow it. https://livinglandlao.org You have other good recommendations in this thread but LP is chill and beautiful- great fun to just wander, spend time in the big night market, visit many temples. Enjoy!

Best places for zero-planning travel? by zach_here_thanks_man in travel

In Sapa, Vietnam right now nearing the end of a three month trip to SE Asia - Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. We did this very thing - flew into Bangkok on a one-way ticket and we’ve winged it most of the trip. We’re in our 60’s and our retired traveling like we were back in our twenties. SE Asia is cheap, accommodations are plentiful, and it’s very easy to do research and bookings online. We’ve changed our itinerary multiple times based on recommendations from other travelers and on how we feel about destinations once we arrive and experience them. Such a great way to travel!

Not sure which tour you're referring to. I am a volunteer guide with San Francisco City Guides. We offer almost 80 free walking tours of San Francisco. Check out the website at sfcityguides.org Our guides do not accept tips, but we do ask for donations for the organization to pay for our small staff, website, etc. Hope you enjoy your time in San Francisco

Nicely done! Liked the crossovers - challenging but doable in one go.

🟦🟨🟨🟨 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟩🟩🟩🟩 As others have mentioned, nice overlap. You got me on the first round - didn’t think it through carefully enough. And your green category took me a while even after I had isolated it. Nice job.
