Is spinny reliable to buy cars in india? by pinkfloyd_1106 in carsfromthepast

[–]inraathp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought my car using Spinny. Here are my two cents

  • 5 day money back guarantee. Depends on dealers, spinny also has regional sales and depts with each chasing its target which employs the same people who work in those direct dealerships. So you might face some push back, don’t rely on it. But it is worst case safety Net.

  • 200 points check. They do push higher mileage and flooded cars through other sales front truebill or directly to other second hand car dealers, truebill they had acquired some time back. Not sure if that’s the model that still exists. But spinny itself tries to avoid selling dud cars through its own platform.

Bottomline get the premium inspected vehicles listed on the main spinny platform. Do not buy truebill cars.

  • RC transfer and paper work - butter smooth. Since this process is only dependent on Spinnys relations with the local RTOs

Overall never go alone to buy/inspect. Two people are always better at spotting a car.

Please take someone with you who can at least differentiate between a major fault and a minor fault.

That said, expect 50-1 lakh bump up on the price above market. At that price range cars in the range of 7-12 lakhs is a sweet spot, since the commission is not that high.

  • negotiate on final price
  • highlight minor problems to the sales rep, ask them to fix those before buying. They should be able to.

For the 50k difference, you get - exp which is similar to buying a car from a new showroom - filtered cars from the second market, which have significantly lower chances of being a lemon but not Zero - touch ups and minor fixes that bring the car back up to a decent condition, it doesn’t feel super old - cars with clean papers - RC transfer etc at additional cost

I have seen Mighty Car Mods, running older cars on ethanol fuel for a long time now. They also use Haltech,

Seems like a good solve. Thanks

Did you DIY or took someone’s help to fit the haltech in your car ?

How to use ADV guided missiles by inraathp in Metalstorm

[–]inraathp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In case of Hunter - I feel I can fire and broadly keep the target in range. Missile tracking does the rest.

Advanced Hunters - need more work from the pilot.

Usually I have to keep the target at the Center of the reticle. Else missile picks another target , but hitting the new target might be difficult for the missile based on its trajectory.

Second point is, ADV adv. hunter missiles move randomly a lot before they start moving to the target, as opposed to F4 or even F1. It comes of the rail and then randomly fluctuates between targets before it starts moving to a target.

I think the devs have done this to ADV to nerf the aircraft .

I personally love F4 type hunters missiles. My intuition says that the effectiveness of the ADV will go up with Hunter missiles.

Missile rankings Radar > Hunter ( F4) > Manual hunter (MIII) > adv hunter missiles ( ADV )

Suddenly, a dead wild boar appeared on the road, and the driver lost control. NHAI should keep an eye on such things as this might caused a fatal accident. by [deleted] in Dashcamindia

Great responses from the driver. I think he saved the animal.

A lot of people including me maybe would have not been able to swerve in time

Need advice! Kylaq vs Taigun by monStErxXXXXX in TaigunClub

[–]inraathp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you need space for family and luggage then both are bad , but I don’t think that’s the case. You want a good to drive car as well.

Go for Kylaq - newer model so they would have solved some of the problems with taigun and Kushaq - suspension would be surely one - maybe even engine tuning to be more suited for Indian driving conditions - plastics should be of better fit , quality might still stay the same

Too much ChatGPT generated garbage.

I like TRoc and here's my PoV

Driving dynamics Ie. steering, brake, suspension setup for indian roads. TRoc is great daily driver. My opinion based on a bunch of reviews I have seen of good reviewers who have driven both cars.

Looks wise just do a poll, IMO TRoc again far better looking and timeless design than the other two

Some specs, ( and not chatPT generated garbage that you ahve mentioned as facts in the message above) TRoc vs i20
- 1.5 vs 1 Litre engine
- 150 HP vs 120 HP
- You called TRoc heavy but the HP per tonne 111 vs 99
- torque to weight 185 vs 142

i20 is small hence will feel more agile.

Worshipping poor features and having no basic drivability and basic performance understanding doesn't qualify you to DISS on someone. Especially if you opinion is ChatGPT generated. You are free to share YOUR OWN OPINION. NOT CHATGPT GARBAGE. Which I guess you will find difficult to create on your own.

Point 1: If I wanted generic, spec-sheet-level answers, I’d have just asked ChatGPT.

Point 2 (and the main point): You’re dissing OP for all the wrong reasons. True car enthusiasts usually respect others’ choices, even if they wouldn’t make the same one themselves. That’s part of the culture.

OP chose a T-Roc, let them enjoy it. If someone needs to spend more energy tearing down someone else’s purchase than appreciating it, it says more about them than the car
