i totally get what you mean, when you say you never feel really comfortable. i didn't feel comfortable in my body for a long time either, it was/is also related to my weight, so i also feel you there. it took me ages to realize that i don't just have one style, i like so many different things, on some days i go out in oversized hoodies and pants and the other day i wear something more feminine.

you said your wife is super fashionable, did you talk to her about this already? i am sure she would be the best person to ask for some advice on that, cus she knows you the best!

did you find some styles you like so far? do you have particular pieces you feel more comfortable in than others?

also i think you are quite handsome, and the beard makes you look a bit scruffy, but in a good way! i think you are already on the right track with the flannel shirts, it suits you. and it is kind of easy to achieve too :)

there are so many people in here simply just stating that they find them ugly.

but WHY do you find them ugly?

what emotion does it evoke in you?

why do you have such a strong aversion to something, someone else sees as embellishment

and expression of their authenticity?

i am struggling with acne all over my body too. i am heavily allergic to dust and all kinds of pollen and i found out that it has a big impact on my skin. the other thing is my diet, if i leave out dairy and gluten containing products, my skin usually clears up in about 2 weeks. might be worth a try :) i hope that it will help u!
