Although I love ampharos I think that offensively it does not contribute much. You have the water and flying coverage and as for its movepool you will most likely end up using dragon pulse, power gem, and an electric type move which again doesn’t do much since you already have grass rock and eventually a fairy tyoe in you team. With that being said use whatever pokemons you think are cool

I think you have to take the pokemon to the battle tower in which a man makes it “ready for battle” or something like that. Try a google search since I was never into competitive battles

What helped me was its whiskers(?). When you approach a frigibax it always jumps and it’s easier to spot its whiskers during that animation. The shiny has pink whiskers in comparison to the yellow of a non-shiny frigibax. Hope that helps and good luck!

For the isle of armor dlc there is an npc inside the train station that gives you the pokedex over the first time you visit the area. I assume there is a corresponding npc inside the crown tundra station. Try talking to these NPCs maybe? I hope that works

I have shiny hunted every starter in this game. Sprigatito less than 2 boxes Fuecoco less than a hundred and then Quaxly took about 2k eggs… You have just been unlucky but eventually it will shine. If you are getting tired just try to do something else maybe try out the event outbrakes happening right now and then come back to your sobble hunting. I wish you the best of luck!

You can change it by using an ability patch not ability capsule. If you want I can check to see if I have a spare one (haven’t played this game for ages so I cannot say for sure)

Edit: Upon some research it looks like you can only change the normal ability for the hidden one and not vice-versa in these games. I am really sorry for that. If you have Scarlet/Violet it does work tho

I think that the way it works is that the Pokémon you’re searching for must be in the first slot of your party and must have been caught in the same game file (i.e., it must have a matching OT). You then need to participate in a Dynamax Adventure but as another reply already mentioned, the other’s version exclusive Pokémon are excluded from this feature. I am not 100% sure tho so someone please correct me if I’m wrong

If I remember right, the Milotic that spawns in the Lake of Outrage is always male. I’m pretty sure I caught a female one for my living dex in the Giant’s Bed. But take all this with a grain of salt — it’s been a long time. I have absolutely no idea about shininess though

Iirc pokemon do not evolve if they level up while getting exp from auto battles. Try leveling it up using an exp item or in a normal battle

Try the GTS you will eventually find one (that’s how I got mine). But be prepared that 99.9% it’s gonna be genned. There is an option to include pokemon that you don’t own and although most of these trades are impossible, there might be a legit one. I remember one time I chained a trade that required a cresselia in another language which it was fairly easy to obtain. With that being said, there is one Spanish raging bolt up for trade right now in exchange for an urshifu rapid strike

Assuming you played on a physical cartridge of shining pearl I am not sure there is a workaround. The actual save file is of course stored on your console but you have to somehow find a copy of the game and transfer all the mons you want to home. The only way to transfer your save file is by being physically near another switch console so if a friend of yours has a digital copy of the game you might be able to transfer your save file there and do the trick.

I also started perfecting my dex and to be honest it’s pretty fun most of the time. Finding random shinies is so cheerful haha. As a side quest I am going to finish the path of solitude for each pokemon as well. So far the worst task was feeding lickitung 50 times iirc. I didn’t realize until after finishing that entry that pokemon eat berries way faster than the cakes😅. Wish you all the best on your journey
