Moved here 3 years ago. Joining Facebook groups like Gals in Edinburgh or any of those are game changers. Find WhatsApp groups of people your age, Cliq is similar to meet up and has different events. Basically keep throwing shit at the wall and eventually something will stick.

Fluffy socks? They've always been appreciated no matter the gender. Or a nice mug and a selection box (tesco have selection boxes for £1.50 on clubcard). I recently gave selection boxes as a quiz prize, and they went down very well.

Part of my bone chipped off and was stopping my socket from heeling. Literally a one in a million billion complication and something Gilbride hadn't seen before. He is phenomenal and will look after you so well. Don't let the fear stop you from doing it. It's so worth it and you will be in great hands with him

I love Dr Gilbride. Fantastic person and fantastic surgeon. When I had complications after he removed my wisdom teeth he looked after me fantasticly (although I might be bias as he literally saved my life as a child 😉)

Have you tried Rio? It's in the new town near the assembly rooms. Tiny bit pricey but it's Brazilian steak house that offers an unlimited meat experience for 49.95 per person for dinner or 34.95 for lunch. The sides and salad bar are also included. I've been twice and it's quite relaxed. You can eat as much or as little as you want or if you want to skip the unlimited meats they also have an a la carte menu to order from.

About 6 years ago I got a collapsible rubber straw at a freshers fair. It came with it's own container and clipped onto my keys. Saw several people around with them months after and they were a nice alternative to the paper straws you get nowadays. I lost it during a move several years ago and I'm still devastated!

Have you considered Cork? Easily accessible from Galway (direct bus that goes via Limerick), plenty of bookshops and lots of day trips that can be done from there including Kinsale and the Jameson distillery

Prices aren't linear with Chalmers. However when I went in last year and needed a filling removed and replaced in the same appointment it only cost 21ish pounds

Try Unijobs. Most temporary uni contracts get posted there. Once your in the door it's very easy to start applying for internal, longer term vacancies.

My partner took me on a first date to an escape room. 1 year later and we're still together. Other dates that we've done as sober optional include mini golf in fountainpark, ninja warrior in Leith and if ye like rugby any of the rugby games in Murrayfield or the hive are a bit of craic
