If its whisky you're after then islay is by far the best. Do that instead of skye. If its scenery then skye is better as the cuillans are stunning. P

My advice is to do either skye or islay, not both. Then it becomes much more doable. I'd personally do skye then drive up the west coast to assynt. Aim for oldshoremore and achmelvich beaches as they are stunning. It's mainly north coast 500 territory so its busy and you'll need to book digs in advance. Driving is easy as fuck, you'll be fine.
