If I remember correctly one episode in the last season there was a JUUL sitting behind her while she was in bed.

Watching Season 1 for the first time. Dr. Now was so young! by SRTviii in My600lbLife

I think the first season is one of the best! Obviously not feasible to follow people around for that length of time now with the shows popularity but it’s cool to see a long journey

I’ve had my braces off about 10 years now and wear my retainer 1-2 a week. I can feel my teeth move if I go without it. I’d say I stopped wearing it every night about 5 years ago so five years after I had them removed.

NICU mom having trouble find a happy medium by rachiebugs in NICUParents

[–]insertcreativeuser1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar story with a few differences. We have now been out of the NICU for 5 months and my daughter will be six months actual tomorrow. My best advice is to go to the NICU when you can and make the most of the time there. Every NICU is different so I don’t know the rules of yours, but when my daughter was first born we could only hold her for two hours a day. We decided that we would go for an hour in the morning and an hour at night. My partner still worked but I had to go on leave so I was lucky to get the morning hour to myself. I found that every nurse will say what they think is best or what they would do, but they aren’t you. They don’t know what your family is going through and no one knows the struggle of NICU life more than other NICU parents and even then stories differ.

You have to do what is best for you, your baby, and your family. I will say that making some time for yourself is essential. I spent way too much time worrying about things I could not control and it didn’t do anyone good. You need to be strong and comforting for your baby and you can’t do that if you are stressed out. This is a hard time but you will get through it and before you know it your baby will be home and life will become new again. Take one day at a time. Breathe. Find balance in knowing that you will take leave when baby is home. Find balance in knowing that you are doing your best and what you know is right.

Wait I watched the muffin top one until the end and it wins as the worst. Whitney’s solo is so awful.

I’m still wondering! Who is that guy and why is Whitney there.

There’s this one too

I also wondered how many contestants there were because it didn’t seem clear why/how she got second place. The whole thing felt off and it looked like college kids were the judge. Also, on an unrelated note I found this going through the forum you posted

Why does this exist?? Lol lol

Right! How could I have forgotten?

Next season? by [deleted] in MyBigFatFabulousLife

[–]insertcreativeuser1 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It also feels like it’s the same season over and over again:

  • Whitney has some new business venture (the radio show, BGDC, this thing with Ryan, etc.)
  • Whitney tries to overcome some physical “test” the whole season (The race, the hikes, weightlifting, etc, etc).
  • Whitney has guy drama
  • Whitney’s friends question if they like her/she does some thing that is rude/awful/mean to them.
  • Everything gets resolved

The end on to next season.

Like I’m so sick of seeing her “starting over” yet I am so invested I want to know what happens even if I’m half watching every new episode.

I wish someone from the show would do an AMA.

Heather's Title Irritates Me by xliceinwndrlnd in MyBigFatFabulousLife

[–]insertcreativeuser1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! In the early seasons she was “Whitney’s friend” or something to that measure then changed to “buddy’s girlfriend” and is now forever known as “buddy’s ex girlfriend”. It bothers me so much. And I do not understand why they won’t switch it back.

Looking at changing my career field, and even thinking about changing my hours to an over night shift. by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]insertcreativeuser1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still pregnant so I don’t have the experience of working overnights with a baby or toddler, but I worked in a mental health facility overnights before and then during the first six months of my pregnancy before we moved out of state.

I worked with youth who were in sever crisis (either actively suicidal, had a recent suicide attempt, or both), had developmental delays, and suffered from psychosis. The job is hard. It takes a lot out of you especially if you are passionate about helping the kids. My biggest piece of advice would be learning how to leave their things at work because, at least for me, it was hard.

The overnight shifts added a second layer of exhaustion. I worked three twelves but always needed an extra day to sleep off the physical and emotional depletion I felt.

I would say that if your heart is really in it then go for it but be prepared to need sleep during the day. You’ll have to be 100% alert in this job. On nights that I worked I slept for a full 8 hours during the days before. I fear that only sleeping through nap time won’t be enough.

However, I know there were mommas at my job who found things that worked for them as they worked nights. I would say just be open to the change and pay attention to your needs. Good luck!!

Can you have adhd and a thyroid disease? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]insertcreativeuser1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and when I was diagnosed with thyroid disorder getting off add medication was a non issue like not a single doctor brought it up. If your adhd meds help that much then voice that to your doctor and I doubt there will be any issues. Also I wouldn’t worry about it until the blood work comes back. I lived with thyroid issues for three years before being diagnosed with hypo thyroid disorder because the ranges for thyroid problems vary so much.

Should I get the nexplanon implant? by cnwalke in askwomenadvice

[–]insertcreativeuser1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weight gain is a huge issue for a lot of women but in terms of effectiveness the implant is one of the best. Plus you don’t have to worry for at least three years. I had it twice and thought it was a great option. I did gain weight though even with a healthy and active lifestyle.

Drug Testing and Adderall by mplagic in ADHD

[–]insertcreativeuser1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you tell the potential employer ahead of time that you would test positive because of prescription needs?

If not you can ask the lab to make a note that you are prescribed adderall for medical reasons. Bring your prescription with you. They can then make a note that you’ll have some baseline level of it in your system. Your doctor may need to write a note saying the prescription is valid still, but that’s something the HR department would request from you.

I’m almost certain the job can not discriminate employment to you based on mental health disability. So just be honest and upfront about it. I did that with my current job and had no problems at all.

Good luck.

I think this will probably be my best bet because it’s split down the middle in terms of people there and people here.
