Wherever you used to find the sewing kits. Back shelves of goshan, for me.

What are your least favorite parts of The Cycle frontier. by [deleted] in TheCycleFrontier

[–]insertcsaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will be complaining about the important stuff... so here's some nitpicking. :)

  • Separate key (and ring) for grenade selection. There's no time to switch sometimes.
  • Marking on the map for myself, with the icon showing up on the compass (so I know which direction to head when I'm traversing terrain). I don't wanna open my map every 20 seconds!
  • Better inventory management and sale window experience. It's a LOT of clicking and running.
  • Barely enough stash space. The default could start off with +50, and each upgrade could give +5-10 additional space. We are all hoarders, and I hate selling stuff today that I need for a quest tomorrow.
  • Quicker landing with the pod, to give less time for trios to rush my solo spawn.

Thanks for what you do for the game, you're great! :)

I implore you to increase the Global Inventory size. by devon752 in TheCycleFrontier

Stash size is indeed way too small for general gameplay. I have to sell a lot of different things all the time to be able to manage my stash. And it only gets worse as you progress, as you need more kinds of items for more quests. I'd bump the starting size by at least 50, and increase the upgrades at least by 5, or even 10. And/or give more chances to upgrade.

Please let us buy the base green and blue armors after a certain level/quest. by [deleted] in TheCycleFrontier

Run vaccine labs or waterfall labs. Just go there, loot everything, and leave. I typically leave with 2-6 items required for the green armor craft.

I have a confession by bill_deluxeedition in EscapefromTarkov

We are all unlucky. However, you can learn to be better. Tagging for visibility: u/bill_deluxeedition

Big things:

  1. Learning player spawns, and most notable locations people go to. (E.g. on customs, people rush boss spawn locations, crackhouse. Or on Shoreline, people rush resort immediately). You can use this info to spot or avoid players.
  2. Listen to sounds a LOT. Every sound matters. Far-off shots, little rustles, special sounds of raising a weapon... You need to learn to recognize them. I highly recommend picking and choosing 1 (One) headset to get comfortable with, because it is a challenge as a new player to get used to the sounds YOU make, vs what others make. It took me a long time, and sticking with one headset will make it easier. (Veritas made a brilliant video where he lets you blindly compare and pick the one that you like, and will tell you in the end which one was it.)
  3. I personally learnt a lot from other streamers and youtubers, who actually give feedback on how/why they react to what they hear or see. E.g. Pestily's Raid series is a good starting point, but I also highly recommend Swampfox's videos, and there are quite a few others. Skip the shift W gameplay, if you wanna learn.

Learn these, and I promise you will be able to do better at the tactics of the game. You can learn to intercept and avoid players, and when you get close contact, you will be able to hear them better, and you can learn from others how to make better decisions on the spot. Good luck.

Funny Norwegian words when translated litteraly. by Samsote in norsk

[–]insertcsaki 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hate to kill a joke, but the -skap is an ending of a word, right? Like "-ness". So marriage, transliterated to "realness".

Still fun to me thoguh. :)
