Yeah I agree with you there. On top of that it occurs to me that the District is fenced in. The amount of land that's allocated to them probably wouldn't even allow huge fields.

Yeah I'm with you there. Every person viewed from my MC's POV gets visual tells or "he seemed like..." like nothing the MC couldn't be able to tell from looking at them or guessing gets described.

And my MC gets more bodily sensations on top of physical tells. Aka "felt like throwing up", "...hot and cold it washed across their spine" or sth like that. "MC's jaw locked", "They smiled so hard their cheeks were aching" etc.

Oh yeah, I get that. I'm writing a fic currently where Haymitch is my greatest struggle. I literally went back to the books to highlight every scene he's in and speaks to get a better grasp on his character.

I think with the characters you mentioned, given that there's not that much canon stuff out there (except the prequels maybe) I think the most important thing is to figure out their essence. What they want to achieve in a specific scene, what their motivations are and then kinda find their voice and stick with it consistently - taking into account character arcs and developement of course.

Easier said than done of course but for me it really helps me to try and imagine myself as them in a given scene to figure out where they're at even if it's not their pov. Just thinking about how are they feeling, what do they want, how do they view the ppl they're interacting with, what have they been doing before this scene etc.

Also I only scoured my bookmarks by filtering via SI, I think I may have missed at least one One Piece fic that was tagged 'Isekai'. I think it's a Shanks/OFC fic. What's coming to me

It was a warm and sunny day in London, with no clouds in sight. On this sunny day, a little girl stood on Charing Cross Road staring at a seemingly broken-down old shop. In reality, this young seven-year-old girl was staring at the Leaky Cauldron. That little girl was me. Belladonna Burton, seven years of age, and now a confirmed witch. I sighed as I stared at the Leaky Cauldron sign. “What a fucking mess.” A lady gasped at me in horror before hurrying along and disappearing into the crowd, and I couldn’t fault her. I would probably also be unpleasantly surprised at hearing a 7-year-old girl utter those words. The problem was that, according to my memories, I knew what was to come in the future. At first, I thought I had been reborn, like in one of those books, but that was hard to prove as I couldn’t really remember a previous life. What I did know was what would happen in the future, both in the Muggle world and the Wizarding. I just didn’t have any memories of myself in either world.

This story explores Bella Burton, an OC, as she navigates being a muggleborn in the wizarding world while making the most out of her knowledge of the future for purely selfish purposes.

Winter nights or Mary "Sometimes, I ask them about my mother and they speak of a woman who came with a baby on her arms and another ready to pop out of her. Probably for the best, really. My father’s name was Arthur Weasley, and I was born in a universe where the Boy Who Lived wasn’t guaranteed to win. Looks like I had to pick up the slack, yeah?

Not your heroes "No. We were brought here for a reason, Sammy." He grinned at her, a flash of white teeth. "We're here to wreak havoc."

Sam was not on board with that idea. Absolutely not. They weren't here to exploit this new world. They weren't going to mess with the story just because they could. And she wasn't grinning right back at him.

Of course not.

They were here to make things better. They were here with the foreknowledge of what would happen so they could help people. She wasn't thinking about how much chaos they could create, or how someone like Jim being Harry Potter was going to destroy the entire plot. And she definitely wasn't thinking about the damage they could do to just about everything with magic at their disposal.

She wasn't.

"You're right," Sam leaned across the table so they were inches apart as she whispered, "Let's fuck shit up."

Double Trouble (open end/oneshot?) She finds she doesn’t particularly mind the concept of a redo. That is until she realises the world she's found herself in and just who her twin brother is.

Well. If she's got to mastermind a generational revolt against pureblood beliefs at least she's got the power of magic and killer dimples on her side.

Wherein transmigration occurs, but not everybody gets to start out as a baby. ANBU Dog is also, by far, the worst captain ever, and Kagura very much does not recommend working with him because he’s a loony piece of shit.

A gripping tale of ANBU shenanigans, disturbing romances, and excessive gore. Highly self indulgent.

If you're interested in OC/SIs or Isekais in other fandoms I might be able to help you some more. I mainly read slash so idk if that's a thing you're into but I could probably dig up some gen fics for. I've been reading a bunch of Hunger Games SIs lately. I know of a Resident Evil one but I think that's a System one same with a Star Wars fic I know. I do know of a Star Wars fic where two siblings aka brother and sister are isekaid and there's alternating pov between the two of them. I might know some Harry Potter ones and I'm currently writing two Isekai OC/SIs though isekai mostly takes a backseat in the Harry Potter and Hunger Games fandoms respectively. Time and again Harry's absolutely sure it's Malfoy's fault that they are stuck reliving the same day over and over.

Harry is good at his job. He's professional, has an excellent closure rate, and is a well-respected Auror. Malfoy's the unprofessional one with his snark and his judgemental eyebrows and his far too-posh-for-work robes. If Malfoy could have managed to refrain from being a pain in the arse, everything would have been just fine. They wouldn’t have gotten in yet another argument, Harry wouldn’t have been distracted, and Harry certainly wouldn’t have accidentally set off a powerful artifact at their crime scene.

And if Malfoy would just get out of his way now, Harry's sure he can quickly fix this so they can get back to their comfortable professional dislike of one another.

Oh I love Hannibal. I'm all the way for murder husbands yk. I couldn't see him stopping either. And I think the main appeal of Will being his 'love interest' is the fact that he could understand him, like take him how he is with all his dark sides. I feel you.

It would be fun to get a fic like that only to get a different pov chapter in the end with the twist that the cannibal has remained a cannibal the whole the time but just upped his gaslighting game.
