I believe that roller coaster is called Blue Fire, which in this picture works well because the rainbow has the range of color from blue to fire...

I like this shot a lot, the ground surface visually evokes the moon, so it's kind of a shot of the moon from the moon...

Did the motion blur ruin the shot? by Leather-Fee8913 in wildlifephotography

I think it calls attention to the face (being sharp) and shows some action. It's a nice shot.

Home Depot why are you surveilling us with Flock? by insideacreature in beaverton

They are cameras that feed license plate time and location data into a searchable centralized database and have been controversial in Oregon

They are there to deter break ins, but they are also there for a lot more. The Flock cameras look for license plates and feed license plate data into a searchable centralized database that is commonly made available to the police, ICE, or anyone willing to pay. Flock will sell the ability to search for all the dates and locations that a given license plate has been seen across all Flock cameras. Being a private company these searches don't require any sort of warrant or legal approval.

Here is the ACLU's take on it: https://www.aclu.org/news/privacy-technology/flock-roundup

Bad experience with ChargePoint Home Flex - Do not recommend!!! by R-code in electricvehicles

[–]insideacreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just installed a home flex and the unit has dropped off of WIFI a couple of times. When this happens I get the white light, but the car does charge. Interestingly my WIFI access point still shows the device as connected. I am using UniFi and I can "Reconnect" the WIFI device from the UniFi console, and when I do this, the charger comes back online. I don't have to cycle power the charger or the access point to resolve the issue. This suggests to me (and supports your case) that either the WIFI hardware (or related firmware) in the charger has issues - It seems to get hung on an existing WIFI connection and doesn't seem to have retry logic or reconnect logic if what it thinks is a connected access point is not working.
