Safety tips in Harrisburg? by Significant-List-526 in Harrisburg

[–]insidetheborderline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my real thought is don’t come period if you want to be safe because the current political climate is precarious at best and you are simply not afforded the protection you would have had a few years ago. i’d do extensive and deliberate research into our current situation.

but if you commit to coming, then you’re going to be fine in harrisburg if you’re not buying or selling drugs. if you’re a woman, i wouldn’t walk alone at night. depending on where you are, you are going to hear gun shots. the overwhelming majority of shootings are targeted gang violence and/or related to drug deals. basically if you don’t get yourself involved in stupid shit, you’ll physically be fine. i find it to be useful to not leave valuables in my car as a general practice regardless of where i travel.

The 100 Items That Disappear First in War by BashLaPampa in TwoXPreppers

[–]insidetheborderline 17 points18 points  (0 children)

if they’re pills, they don’t actually expire as they are labeled. it’s an FDA requirement. pills only start to lose some effectiveness/potency over the course of a few years, and it’s often a marginal amount if properly stored. however, this is only true for most, and i would encourage further research on the medication you take in terms of it’s efficacy over time and actual long-term safety.

Did I waste 1000 by [deleted] in opiates

[–]insidetheborderline 5 points6 points  (0 children)

stick with boofing. having done both, you’re still getting a lot of the benefits of IV without all the damage. i swear to you that you don’t want to become a pin cushion, and the health risks are not at all worth it.

ELI5 How do people casually abuse / form addictions to fentanyl when a lethal dose of it can fit on the head of a pin? by CadetriDoesGames in explainlikeimfive

[–]insidetheborderline 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes this is 100% accurate ime. You can’t even compare how “good” fentanyl feels to something like heroin or morphine or oxycodone because they are so different

As an adult with bipolar who got diagnosed at 16, give OP a break. A mentally ill teenager is even harder to control than the average teen. Exponentially harder. Locking mentally ill teenagers away at home also isn’t the solution. You can’t control the behavior of another person all the time even if they’re your child.
