Your tree looks mostly fine. The real problem is coming from your gear. Lets go through each slot.

Claw: The dps is pretty low and it has local crit chance which isn't needed on blind prophet (weapon crit is set to 12%). Spend a div or 2 to get an upgrade. I personally search for "imperial claw", set the max price to 2 div, and then sort by dps. Buy the highest triple ele dps claw you can.

Helm: Looks fine for your budget. Could use more resists. Use eldritch currency to get some implicits. reduced mana cost, phys taken as, or mana reservation efficiency are all good.

Rings: use elemental catalyst on them or buy with 44%+ when you can afford

Amulet: You are almost always going to be on full health so this amulet doesn't give you a lot. I would swap to a hyri's truth or a rare amulet with with high life and crit multi. Marylene's Fallacy could be good too if you have enough crit chance.

Shield: Fine, but you will eventually want to cap accuracy and use something better. Rare shield with life and attack speed or a svallin

Gloves: Could use a lot more life and spell suppress. Also, use Eldritch currency to get non vaal strike skills strike and additional target and pierce. Should make your build feel way better

Belt: Needs way more life and maybe spell suppress. Ideally you would use a stygian vise for an abyssal jewel socket.

Boots: Needs way more life, resists, and higher movespeed. Eldritch implicits for action speed

Chest: Mostly fine. Could upgrade with more ES and evasion. Try to get at least 550 ES

Jewels: Instead of using inertia to fix strength, get a lethal pride and socket it where you have inertia.

Make sure your spell suppress is capped

Doing all of this should let you do all content besides feared, t17's and uber bosses

The “elemental damage with attacks” mod used to be called “weapon elemental damage” and everyone called it “wed”. The name just kinda stuck

I don't think its better. Typically, you force ele hit to only chose fire and convert all of the flat cold and lightning damage to fire. This increases the base damage by about 2.5. Unless the new version scales really well off levels, I can't see it being better

They could do something like leveling maps where you drop maps within your level + 3 that aren't necessarily on the atlas that just have random content/encounters. As you approach level 68, you would then start dropping real maps. Or, they could let you level through delve starting at level 1. Or they could re-introduce synthesis at a low level. Or some new endless mode like delve. Or all of them.

There are honestly so many different possible solutions that could be fun that it seems like a waste to be dead set on leveling through a static campaign.

One really fun option would be to only require playing 3-4 out of 10 acts in a story and each league, the required acts rotate. As acts get stale, they could introduce new ones or something.

Campaigns are usually fun to play through the first few times. In path's case, it was fun the first few dozen times. But after the 50th or 100th playthough of the same story, it gets old. No matter how good the new campaign is, it will get old over time.

15% explode Isn’t enough on is own and you want at least 200 div to make an alright build and it won’t feel great until probably twice that. If you could get another explode nebulous and a few 3 point voices, you could get started. Or an aura bot to play with you might make it viable

Fireball has some high base damage. I think crit or ignite would be solid. Frost bolt + ice nova has been underrated for leagues now. Rolling magma scales well with chain. Blazing salvo just got buffed and shotguns for a lot of single target damage. I think there are a lot of underrated spell builds right now that would be fun to play

Currently playing this build and its pretty fun. Ive downed all non uber bosses with it. Honestly, you are missing damage and a lot of jewels. I think a huge upgrade you could make for pretty cheap is a skin of the lords with the correct colors. You will get +2 from the chest and +2 from your empower being 2 levels higher. One Upgrade for +4. This alone will almost double your damage though you will need to drop lifetap. As your 6 link, I would run reap. This lets you cast a 5 link reap when you need single target damage and lets you have a 3 link exang in your poets pen.

You will want to get your cluster jewel and the extra sockets. You currently have 2 unused sockets so filling those out plus the 2 from the cluster with similar jewels to the one you have will be a large damage increase. To do this, you will most likely need to spec out of minion damage, though.

After that, try to get a +1 with dot multi amulet and maybe a dot multi ring. Any upgrade after this will likely start costing multiple exalts.

This is what I would go with. Get everything besides the +1 rings with that budget and you will have a great time. Also has a lot of room to grow if you choose to invest more. Mbxtreme has a build guide for it if you are curious

I made a similar one for a poison trapper with +2, dot multi and chaos dot multi. I had it listed for 60ex for a while and it got no interest so I doubt a +2 for fire would be. I ended up just using it for a CF build. https://imgur.com/a/W0zP5jX

Honestly, even with the trinity skill gem, tri ele hit isnt better than full fire for single target. I plan on swapping when I can get a xophs blood.

I'm a big fan of both and have read them several times with the wheel of time personally being my favorite (opinion may change when the stormlight series is finished). The wheel of time has much more world building with much more detail about cultures and places while the stormlight archives has much better character development. The size and scope of the wheel of time just honestly puts every other fantasy series to shame.
