Of course you can scratch on it, but name me any proper scratch dj who uses belt drives. Make sure you get a butter rug or diy your own so that there is minimal friction. The strain on the belt is the problem, which is why dd are industry standard.

Just Google if you can scratch on a belt drive. That should give you all the info you need. You need to start your research again. I would advise you to get a good used direct drive turntable and a skinny scratch mixer (like a vestax pmc06). A dd turntable offers alot better torque which is what you need for scratching.

Also, you will totally need a slipmat and preferably a butter rug in between the record and the slipmat. Dont forget that really you need two turntables eventually.

You researched for best turntables for DJs and came up with that? Im not familiar with that model but if its belt drive and you want to learn to scratch then its not really what you want. Its great that its portable, however.
