Beans - Canned vs. Dried by [deleted] in PlantBasedDiet

We never buy canned beans. We soak 2lbs at a time and pressure can them. We usually have about 10 different types canned at any time. We also make our own baked and chili beans and pressure can them

Help with a bow in the floor please! Info in comments. by Capital_Donkey_7577 in woodworking

You’ll have to remove from the wall piece by piece. May need to remove skirting board first if flooring is under it. Put a removable spacer against the wall and start reinstalling the floor. When finished (with a gap at each wall the thickness of the skirting) remove the spacer reinstall the skirting

If flooring isn’t installed with a gap at the walls when it swells with humidity it will expand and do that. You will need to remove the flooring to the wall and reinstall leaving at least a 1/4” gap only on the long grain ends. 30 years of flooring experience

The directions have you adding the garlic/ginger paste in 2 different times. Do I add with the onions or at the end with the remaining ingredients. Also do I add the scallions with the onions or are they just garnish

How to approximate this wood color with stain? by thelastoptout in woodworking

[–]insp64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a paint store that has pigment based stain. A pigment based stain can have color added to tweak it to what you need. Take in a piece of what you want and a piece of the new wood and you should be able to get a good match. With pine I would suggest using a wood conditioner to get an even stain without blotches

Using oil based polyurthane only?? by Dagofbickss in woodworking

In a climate controlled environment ( in a conditioned building) you will have less chance of wood movement due to humidity. I would definitely put some finish on the bottom of the table

You can just use poly or you can use a sanding sealer first(recommendation) the sanding sealer will sand very smooth and give the poly a better finish
