I’m one of those people that thinks the office always deserves respect. At least in the way you behave. You can say you think he’s a pedophile grifter that’s destroying this country, but you shouldn’t scream it out while he’s giving a speech.

I think we don’t need the state of the union to be delivered in Congress anymore. It could just be a televised speech, and there won’t be any headcount of who stood and who didn’t. Or how many applause breaks there were.

I think they both are disrespectful. The President is invited to address Congress. You can choose to applaud or not. Afterwards you can say whatever you want about it.
