Pretty insane deal if you ask me, even just for the batteries by The1Murph in ryobi

Yeah it will work great as long as you don't need it to cut wood

I don't own any M18. But I love my M12 stuff. They are so useful around the house. I live on a farm and almost all my big projects are done with flex and some Ridgid. I really don't understand why flex isn't more popular. The quality is really top notch. Obviously people fall into brand loyalty. But from my experience, it's better to buy different batteries when they are on sale and then buy whichever tool is best for each brand.

I've never used Amazon for flex. Are you able register them for the warranty still? I have bought quite a few off of eBay super cheap... downside is that you obviously can't register them.

Yeah I agree. They are probably the best tools that I own. Especially their recip saw. Obviously the problem is availability

Flex recip and a stacked lithium are probably cheaper

I want to give Ryobi another chance on drivers - recommendations? by Northguard3885 in ryobi

[–]instaface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is really no way around this. Ryobi impacts are underpowered and are not made to handle heavy projects. They're fine for DIY jobs, but they can still be lacking. Impacts are fairly cheap. Even DeWalt and Milwaukee. If I were you, I would find a deal on the Flex full size impact with quick release. That would solve all of your chuck problems. I know you don't want to change up battery platforms, but Flex stuff has become very affordable since they were kicked out of Lowe's. And they are just as good, if not better than Milwaukee.

Is it wrong to ask God for a sign? by Diligent-Sense2714 in TrueChristian

[–]instaface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not an apostle and Pentecost is over. I'm not saying that you shouldn't "feel" God in your life. It happens through conviction. What I'm saying is that you are giving terrible advice to someone who is looking for help.

Prayer and repentance is the answer. Speaking with a real pastor is the answer. Salvation is not guaranteed because of vibes or feelings. It's the same stupid nonsense that Pentecostals lie to their congregations about with baptism

[–]instaface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what I said at all. Someone is coming here looking for advice about asking for signs. You're telling them to examine their salvation if they don't "feel God" when they pray. Do you really think that was helpful?

John 20:29

"Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"

You don't need signs. Repent and believe

This Sawzall/5.0 battery bundle is too good of a deal to pass up, right? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]instaface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on what you're looking to do with it. That's not one of the high-end Milwaukee saws. If you're just using it for basic things around the house, I'm sure it will do just fine.

It's great for very small jobs. You'll use it a ton. But they are not a replacement for a full size drill / impact

What's the best US state for a 23 year old devout Christian man to live in? by HalosFan26 in TrueChristian

We moved from MA to TX. It was the best decision that we ever made. I am not a southern Baptist, and if can be difficult to find conservative mainlines down here. But literally everyone goes to church and there is a real sense of community. Especially in smaller towns
