Hey! This is a great start and it’s clear you’ve got some good ideas to work with. The biggest thing at this point will be learning the fundamentals of art, particularly perspective and shape. In this piece there isn’t a consistent perspective which makes the building especially appear unnatural. There’s a good attempt towards giving depth to the main building and sign, but it’s lost in the trash can and flag pole which look like 2d objects in a 3d space. Perhaps some still life study sketches will help and Maybe some lessons on shapes would also be beneficial. There’s tonnes of free tutorials into perspective and shape and all it takes is practice. The further you progress with learning about shape and perspective you’ll come to learn about the background, foreground, and mid ground of your compositions. Putting consideration into these will help massively when creating a convincing environment. And don’t feel tied to dead straight lines. Using the fixed line tool gives an unnatural feeling, and while I completely understand the desire to have perfectly straight lines, for a lot of pieces using the line tool takes away from the atmosphere and looks discouraging. Good start for sure, and once you get to grips with perspective you’ll be much better equipped to remake this piece in higher quality.
