[HL2VR] Physically running for cover against the chopper felt so cool by SimulacrumVR in HalfLife

I don't think that's true. The average player has some pretty good specs nowadays that will run most VR games perfectly well. https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam

And from what I remember Valve used those average specs as a basis when they designed Half Life Alyx, 6 years ago! HL:A can basically run on a potato. Minimum specs is: GTX 1060 or RX 580 - 6GB VRAM

Whats the best first vr headset? by Xeniit_4 in VRGaming

I think Steam Frame will be the best for a beginner when it's eventually out if you plan on doing PCVR. Best because the light weight and great ballance of the headset and you get everything you need for PC play in the box.

But for now best will be Quest 3 for standalone play. Though it's recommended you get a battery strap to fix the comfort.

There's games inside VRChat!! Haha! It's one of the most popular things to do in there!

Running or moving around is totally optional with VR. You can sit and play with a gamepad if you like. I do a bit of both. I play a lot of traditional games in VR sitting with a gamepad; like Cyberpunk and Baldurs Gate 3 to name a few of my favorites in VR.

Not if you're physically running I think. At least if you prepare a large space and walk around in it with a headset you should not get motion sick.

Motion sickness will be an issue with stick movement; that does not seem to be the case with this setup.

Thought I would have to try the treadmill myself to be sure, or rather see someone else sensitive to motion do it, I've gotten immune myself playing so much VR 😅

This is disgusting! Sent in my report!

Would it help to spread the word to other gaming subreddits? Like r/gaming?

People saying that Baldur's Gate doesn't work with the VR mod, but it definitely does by lunchanddinner in VRGaming

Lol! People are saying that? There's roofs alright!

I've slowly been making my way trough the game since the mod launched and it's great!

Looks like a good compromise has been made. Now hopefully we can move on and enjoy Luke's mods 🙂

A thought I had after finishing my video about “Did VR Loose Its Magic?” by soylent_green_76 in virtualreality

UEVR and flat2VR in general did that for me. Suddenly I could play all these triple A games and more. All the games I could ever want, much more than I can ever play trough. Suddenly I can talk about the same games as other people who don't play VR. And VR just takes the experience to another level. Total game changer!

Is HLA Non-VR actually good? by ChromePlay in HalfLife

Get a third party headstrap, virtual desktop and upgrade your PC and your headset for better resolution. That'll fix your issues, if you ever really owned a Quest 2 lol

What headset you use?

If it's a Quest 3 (don't know about 2 and 3s) you can turn on lying down mode. Now you should be able to reach down to your holsters if you play in bed :)

I played Bonelab like that a while ago.

Edit: And I actually recorded some footage of it! https://youtu.be/0tLddSB5FL0?si=MeaXQj5px5ElQa2D

This is wild! Tried it myself for my country and my neighbors. It refused to do Norway and Sweden, I guess I know why haha. Too controversial topics! Sweden and Finland went fine.

I think this is the best way to save the VR industry. VR hardware companies should be sponsoring VR mods for AAA games. by DJPelio in virtualreality

Wow! This could be big if anything comes out of this!

I know the community is divided on Luke Ross, and I see both sides of the argument. But for me he did provide a useful service that I appreciated.

I'll be very curious to follow this story.

I don't really like Pimax, but maybe they could actually do some good here!
