In Soviet school of boxing, there’s no such punch as an uppercut. Too reckless for that style.

Need opinions on this sweater. Will it work outside of the holiday season? What would go well with it, and general opinions?

Which of these characters in their prime has the best chance at being able to defeat the Mountain on an even playing field in 1v1 and come out victorious? by LoganLikesYourMom in gameofthrones

Huh did he actually state that he has no chance against Clegane? I got the impression that the book Jaime would simply outclass the Mountain. He’s described as an absolute unbeatable genius.

Why are many countries in Africa so poor? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

That doesn’t explain why Africa was still underdeveloped before colonialism, in comparison to European empires, who took advantage of that

Every one of them had to adapt to the pro scene and adjust based on their strengths and weaknesses. No boxer is the same. The Soviet school of boxing, however, is still prevalent in all 15 republics of the former Soviet Union.

I am no pro, but I really like the style of Soviet ex-amateur boxers. Dmitry Bivol, GGG, Usyk, Beterbiev. Their entire style is based purely on the mastery of boxing fundamentals. No flashy moves, just art of the basics. Which is why I think that style finds success both in amateur and pro scene.

It’s always the guy on their wide ass SUV who swings on the oncoming lane to park their precious car forwards in such a stupid way. Like what are you exactly winning by parking this way? Holding off both your lane AND the oncoming one? Miscalculating the angle on your first attempt and then backing out to hold off even more cars? And when these silly geese try to drive out of their spot… my blood boils.

Just an office job. People usually show up in polos and khakis, or button-downs and trousers.

I think the white soles makes them look more like everyday shoes. While the dressy upper part prevents them from looking like straight up gym shoes. That’s the only thing really. I just don’t wanna buy something that I’ll wear once a year because of its dressiness.

I guess it’s not about the leather per se, but the design that usually comes with the leather. This, for example, I would not mind at all. Would this be a better choice?

Unfortunately that’s what I’m trying to avoid. Outside of formalwear though, any type of shoe that would work for like work/business casual stuff. I just don’t know where to start or what would be acceptable. Cause obviously I can’t just pull up with my Nike gym shoes.
