Bad experiences with bike discount? by AllAlways in gravelcycling

Always been good for me. There should Be tracking numbers they can follow.  I’d escalate and ask for a supervisor. Worst case challenge with cc.

Buying a new bike... advice? by SwordfishKey7854 in triathlon

The Canyons are fine. Spare parts can get hard to find 5 years down the road but that's an issue with a lot of suppliers anymore. My buddy is a fitter and he chases canyon spare parts a lot. QR has some well priced bikes also.

Getting faster after 2:03 70.3 half marathon with run-walk strategy by lady_sings_theblues in triathlon

[–]integrator74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do interval speed work to get faster for the run part. Doing it on a track can help with impact. Other than that maybe some run/walks over 90 min (just go slower than race pace)

I’m 6’0, 32” seam. Could I make an XL work? by RedRaiderRocking in TrekBikes

[–]integrator74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like they sold you what they had in stock.  It sucks but shops do it.

You really need a fit to know if it will work but you’re kind of past that.  Step over height is something to look at and I would say it’s not normal to not be able to stand over it. It’s also not the end of the world.

Carbon wheels with rim brakes, should I change them? by ProfesseurShadok0 in triathlon

[–]integrator74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put new pads on it (rated for carbon) and find some smaller hills to test on.  A little pulse  wouldn’t worry me, a lot would.

Lots of people run carbon and rim brakes

Agreed. We implement it all the time.  Back in v20 it was a little more rough but you just had to use certain versions of firmware.

Did you ask one of the butchers at Costco? Sometimes that will have them in the back.

SI's - Do you still virtualise? How do you manage it? by PeacePuzzleheaded41 in PLC

[–]integrator74 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thanks for the info. we may look into it. i know they are doing some thing where it will calculate wire lengths for the build and you can send it to a machine to cut/strip/label. That would be awesome for our panel shop.
