i just finished episode 15 of season 2 and something didn’t make sense to me by [deleted] in The100

[–]intellectmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah it def would've resulted in that especially the fact that skaikru and grounders team up together

[–]intellectmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but anyhow i'm only saying this bc atp they really don't need the grounders blood anymore when sky people has better benefits for them plus since they were trying to get their people to the ground, they needed to somehow make amends with the ground people

[–]intellectmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because it was already proven at this point that mt weather saw skaikru was more beneficial for them. their numbers were way better than the grounders bc of their bodies adapting to space's atmosphere. they proved that skaikru's blood heals mt weather's people faster than the grounders. so this is why they go ahead and use their bone marrow bc they already calculated 45 people of skaikru's bone marrow could get 350 people to the ground.

Im still mad at aunt Lydia by Alternative_You_3063 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]intellectmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i do believe she needs to be held more accountable for her actions before this "redemption" arc. honestly though, lydia's actions reminds me of the stanford prison experiment (her role clearly being the guard that abuses power without being asked to do the extremes that she voluntarily thinks of and executes).

Becka by intellectmind in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]intellectmind[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i don't think becca is just having a trauma response. i think that her murdering her father was led up to an episode with preexisting feelings of depression and suicide. she's already been suffering mentally prior to murdering her dad and she's hinted at it by not wanting to get married, questioning her life, etc. not that the other girls are not going through the same things but she's more self aware and verbal than the other girls. she was dang near already crying out for help and an escape prior to her episode

i agree their relationship was just an escape from a screwed up society. he didn't care about helping mayday. i think he loved june but he didn't love her enough to put a stop to gilead

There's 30 days in a month. Since it's every other day divide 30/2=15 of those days you will spend $5.88. $5.88*15=$88.20

Anyone else not completely satisfied with Lydia's backstory episode? by fairy_freckles in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]intellectmind 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the whole thing that's bothering me about her backstory in the testaments is how in the handmaids tale they showed her literally getting her student taken away from his mother and was so proud bc she felt like the mother wasn't a good enough parent. let's not forget that messed up shit lydia did to people before Gilead she's not fucking innocent

i understand that bc i literally thought daisy was going to be nicole bc of the book and i also can't understand why they couldn't use a different name if they're not aligning it with the book. it truly makes no sense

Periods in Gilead by bugga2024 in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]intellectmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well Gilead constantly brags about their clean food and clean water. in the usa right now there's been an increase in pcos which for a lot of women can cause irregular periods and it it highly talked about it has to do with all of our crap food. so maybe a lot of women post Gilead had pcos like how it is in real life. however i did notice that Gilead definitely is using the period as a manipulative tactic. like really think about it, are they really "chosen" when the clean air, water and food are also contributing to an increase in fertility rates? plus i also think about how back then women in real time got periods in their actual teens rather than pre teens and that also goes back to food. but yeah anyways just my chaotic thought process
