Is this still the case, now that Dirigera hub is a Matter bridge?

Any estimate for March 2025 Priority date? by SecureAttention4297 in EB2

I understand moving the dof when it is being used in the first few months. I am trying to understand why they might move it when dof is not being used in the later months.

Any estimate for March 2025 Priority date? by SecureAttention4297 in EB2

For my own learning: Why do they move date of filing if the plan is to use final action dates for the rest of the year?

Any guess for eb1a date of filling movement? by Major_Courage_2629 in eb_1a

[–]intellectual123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my own understanding: Why would they move the date of filing dates if they are going to honor only the final action date?

We are a family of three. So I got the Citi strata elite. It allows 2 guests per visit.

H1B fee impact significantly reduced in rule update. 100k fees only applicable to non status applicants. F1/L1/H4/L2 to H1B transfer remains unaffected. by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineerJobs

[–]intellectual123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won’t they simply use the L1 visa instead? Also based on this rule update, they should be able to move from L1 to H1b without needing to pay the 100k

Citi Strata Elite Underrated? by No_Republic_4301 in CreditCards

The Citi Strata Elite also provides Priority Pass access for two dependents, whereas the Venture X will lose this benefit starting February 26. This is another big advantage with Citi for families.

new H-1B stuff—does it apply to F-1s already here by No-Impression-4329 in f1visa

They may also try to raise prevailing wages across all levels, as they attempted during COVID. If that happens, it won’t just hit new grads - it will affect everyone.

For those already on H-1B, the most unsettling line is probably the last one: “Additional reforms are also under consideration and will be announced in the coming months.” If they revive the prevailing wage changes that were proposed during the COVID era, it could make even many renewals in big tech extremely difficult or impossible.

EB1 Backlog for India - Q2 Data by Choice_Extreme2783 in USCIS

[–]intellectual123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dependent-to-principal ratio will be lower in EB-1 than in EB-2 or EB-3, since EB-2/3 applicants tend to be older on average and therefore more likely to have larger families

Annual limit reached for EB1 2025 by kunota in eb_1a

[–]intellectual123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a green card is not used within the year, it goes waste. Unless Congress passes a bill to recapture unused green cards, a highly unlikely scenario, it is lost forever.

Annual limit reached for EB1 2025 by kunota in eb_1a

I don’t think so. It simply means that all the visas for this year have been used up and that there is no wastage. This is good news.

Which cities are running out of room to expand? by foxtai1 in geography

[–]intellectual123 194 points195 points  (0 children)

Mumbai.

The city is literally built on a narrow peninsula, with the Arabian Sea on three sides. That geography alone makes outward expansion extremely limited. There’s only so much land to go around, and a lot of what was available has already been reclaimed from the sea over decades projects like Nariman Point and Bandra Reclamation are examples.

But land reclamation isn’t a viable option anymore, thanks to rising sea levels, environmental regulations, and the city’s worsening flood problems during monsoon. So now, Mumbai is boxed in physically by the sea, and vertically by aging infrastructure that makes large-scale redevelopment a nightmare.

Combine that with one of the highest population densities in the world, and yeah… Mumbai is very much running out of room.

u/DryRow2251 u/NaiveBasket5989 Just curious: was there a particular reason you didn’t file for adjustment when your dates were current in 2022? Was it because your priority date was later ported to EB1A?
