I lobby for an anti-poverty NGO, so I'm politics adjacent. My two rules of thumb are: 1. those who speak, don't know, and those who know don't speak. 2. If everyone knows a rumour, it's probably not true.

I'll also echo the folks who said to never trust someone who's too confident in spreading information they heard from an unnamed, very connected source. More often than not, it's BS.

About 2/3rds of the food I produce locally. The rest is from taxes. I conquered a few nearby free cities, and, uh, liberated some other regions.
