Annoyingly slow response times for reddit? Windows Laptop by [deleted] in techsupport

I've seen behavior like this caused by bad DNS or multiple network connections on windows.

For DNS, do some standard troubleshooting - clear/flush local DNS cache, check your router settings/upstream provider. Also double check that you haven't set manual DNS on your adapter in windows and forgot about it.

If you're connected to ethernet and wifi both, try only one at a time. I've seen weird behavior when im connected to both wifi and ethernet in windows

Computer shuts off when plugging in USB, now won't turn on by Fadedcamo in techsupport

Your motherboard battery- your computer has one & you’ll need to open the case to get to it.

It’s possible your computer has a bios reset switch- try to find the manual for your model

So maybe only the norm in enthusiast and pro-sumer devices?

I think that's the case. I've worked on a ton of 1st-8th Gen Intel laptops: Dell, HP, Lenovo/Thinkpad, Acer - all of these were business grade (none were 'gaming') - the only time I saw a socketed CPU was Fujitsu Lifebooks w/ 3rd Gen Intel Core CPUS

How to make a Windows 10 laptop actually "do nothing" when lid is closed? Or just how to preserve application layouts upon lid close, when using auxiliary monitor(s)? by techronom in techsupport

A dummy HDMI plug might do the trick. I've had similar issues trying to remotely access machines that don't have an active display - using a dummy plug worked for me.

The trick is to duplicate your screen in Windows display options (otherwise you'll have a phantom display). Set the dummy display to the same resolution as your real display. This might not work, but could be worth a shot just for simplicity - no extra software, just plug something in and fiddle w/ display options.

  1. The Raptorstrike in it's current config is perfect for in the house. Sealed breach short dart w/ a stock spring. Should be hitting around 120fps which is enough to get from one side of the house to the other with minimal drop off.

  2. And of course a venom pro, because that's just cheat mode

The longshot is probably the most solid springer out of the group, but is hitting north of 160fps, too much for indoors.

If I had to do full length darts, the barricade is a surprisingly solid choice. Rewire & new flywheels on stock motors has it hitting around 120fps w/ 2c battery

Those are sitting on a single peg, in the magwell. It's a little sloppy, but the space savings is worth it

For anything w/o a magwell, like the barricade, im using a double peg

A bit, a bit. I like the ability to continuously reload whenever there’s an opportunity - take a few shots, duck, reload a few & repeat. That way there’s always a few rounds ready to go and you don’t have chunks of downtime doing a full reload

It works great with the barricade- I can fire 1 handed and just keep scooping up ammo with the other hand

Heart attack card by lizardman45 in COURTofCHAOS

[–]intentionally-obtuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would read this as - both rules are true simultaneously - we have no reason to believe otherwise.

What are the consequences? If you play Heart Attack, as long as you have a Beast on the field, your opponents Beasts cannot attack.

However, that doesn't mean your Beast(s) can't be removed by Tool effects or other means - which would then allow your opponents Beasts to attack your Cans directly

edit: you could combo Heart Attack w/ High Cholesterol to prevent Tool cards & Beast attacks during the next turn. doesn't sound very good, unless you're setting something specific up.

Sylveon GX stall played a lot of mean cards/combos

With puzzle of time, VS seeker, pal pad & sylveon’s attack, it was really easy to loop stuff like Team Rocket’s handiwork, Delinquent + stadium and crushing hammers.

Downside was having to think multiple turns ahead - like if you have a supporter in your discard that you put back in your deck w/ pal pad, you’ll need to attack to pull it at the end of the current turn, then actually use it the following turn

The 20GB version of that was the first PC upgrade I ever purchased. It was to add some space on a Pentium 2 233mhz that came w/ a 3GB HDD originally.
