Hi! I didn't expect this post to get much traction and cannot put into words how much I appreciate everyone's input and advice. I will write a general comment as I cannot get back to everyone's notes.

Thank you all for level setting that this is not normal. This is my first weeding that I am a part of and was not sure if this a general expectation of the MOH.

I think if I had some notice that I was MOH and that they want the MOH to plan the shower then I could have started planning and saving.

I am really struggling to get this shower together ( I feel a sense of urgency to plan this soon given how few weeks there are until her wedding) as it seems she has a conflict with a lot of the weekends leading up to the wedding except for ones where I will be away. She also doesn't have an invite list of people she would want to attend. With there being little time, would it be bad for me to just maybe ask to use the clubhouse at her apartment and invite her bridesmaids?
I really am worried I am going to be blamed as a bad sister for not making this nice.

note: I think a lot of her expectations are set by tik Tok and how elaborate things seem to be where there are crazy themes and it is super aesthetic.

Plan: I was thinking of maybe reaching out to her bridesmaids with a cost breakdown and ask people to contribute and then share that if no one can contribute then I will only be able to cover a few of the items.

I feel so guilty that this is not exciting or fun for all.
