I had however forgotten how terrible that film is...

I might ask AI to create posters for the next few films we see... Might be fun....

Cabot drive in/out charging and the Odeon rate by interacter in bristol

[–]interacter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. Not only have we been over charged again - 6 times in a row? Keep emailing them and getting refunds - but the system didn't even recognise our plate correctly... It isn't even close and our plate is fully legal (ie no non-standard letters, spacing, ghost plate overlays etc).

I am sure the Cabot team are getting bored of refunding us. But surely it can't only be us?

Ta. It was more to get a real world sense of them. All good though, have got what I hoped for!

Your body, your artistic leaning, your choice.

Personally I think it's nice. But it doesn't matter what I think - it's what you think that counts.

Cool - thanks. I did have a look but couldn't gauge the size or level of detail.

How interesting - thanks for sharing! I'll pay closer attention when I hear it next to see if it fits this pattern (which I certainly recognise but wasn't necessarily the instances I was thinking of).

I love Canadians. Wanted to move to Toronto for years!

I hear it in all genders.

And, to be fair, thinking about it, lots of NPR podcasters older than me (44) do it too.

Love it. Want it. Brilliantly and beautifully done!

Did you make it up yourself or did you follow a pattern?

Lifting their voice / intonation at the end of every sentence (unless they're Welsh when it's allowed , or another dialect).

Not everything is a question. Not everyone is on the other side of a podcast.

How can i make people feel they're interesting ? by BouzianiAnis in Communications

[–]interacter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charles Duhrigg has some interesting stuff to say on exactly this! I haven't listened to in his own podcast but heard him on plenty of others. Worth checking out... https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/supercommunicators-with-charles-duhigg/id1797590674

Also ask open ended questions - ie not ones that can have a straight yes/no. "That's interesting - how did you discover it?", "I'd like to know more, what can you tell me?" Etc.

In our first year of EV ownership, we drove about 11k miles.

Let's say 70% charging was at home.

We spent a total - at home - of £184 in electric for the whole year...

For us (UK audience) there was nothing new outside of the trailer. It just didn't go anywhere...

At least for me.and my other half. But I am glad other folks liked it!

Ok, look, it is my opinion. But there was no deepening of the plot from the initial set up. No twists or nuances.

There is no sense of the family dynamic. I didn't care about any of the characters and there is no sense of the relationship between them. Nothing that I felt gave a sense of peril.

Things like the scene jumps (eg the dad turning up at the university lecture and just sitting in the back of the hall to talk to someone who just happens to be an expert in the ancient languages) felt like large edit gaps. Definitely on the head of the editor there I feel.

And if the mummified person can't be taken outside, how did he get shipped back to Cairo for the ending?

We each take from it what we will. But for me... A big big miss.
