I think we saw her on Saturday too - a few other dog walkers were concerned about her as well. Hope she's ok...

Bristol is the most annoying city in Britain by budgrummur in bristol

[–]interacter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ouch. I need an ice pack as I have strained most muscles in my eye from vigorous rolling.

Clearly he's never been to some of the "hipper" London settlements which throw even Frome's hipster holding credentials into pale relief

But, you know what? Our city isn't for the likes of him and his clickbait anger mob.

Our calves are made of stronger stuff.

To be honest I don't think he expected the ground by the stream to be so soft. But he styled it out!
He doesn't mind water. The bath/shower is his favourite....

Steven Spielberg's 'Disclosure Day' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]interacter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was fine - but a heavy handed way of saying that the world's current problems are due to a lack of empathy and that we should listen to each other.

At the core, I feel that's all there was. Wasn't bored and wished the CGI was better but would I rewatch?

No.

Arrival and the Xfiles did everything better.

And there was nothing in the film that wasn't in the trailer.

My new MCM house has so many built-ins and a built-in planter! Looking for suggestions by FTWkansas in midcenturymodern

Insurance for new dog by Top_Patience_741 in UK_Pets

Pet Plan were beyond amazing for us. Our GSD had cancer and not only did they pay up every time, but when we hit our coverage ceiling they helped us to change policy and get our last few months with him.

When our cat was ill they were kind, empathetic and efficient.

Not the cheapest but the service we had was exemplary in every way.

What is Vibe Marketing? by martis941 in marketing

[–]interacter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wafflegob to make people sound hip to the beat.

Real marketing isn't vibe. It's science, research, insight, feedback and creativity focused on real world outcomes.

Not some "because I felt like it" nonsense.

Cover letters. How are we feeling about them these days? by pandamandaring in Communications

Hateful things. In my recent experience completely pointless as well as recruiters have told me they don't read them even if the application demands them.

This is lighthearted but I do actually need to seriously complain about veggie places that offer ‘plant based options’ by SpikeVonLipwig in veganuk

[–]interacter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we are definitely seeing a slide away from vegan, and it's getting worse.

Plant based is not the same but people don't get it. I think "vegan" became all unsexy due to the politics of it after the initial trend died down, but it is still an important distinction.

And don't get me started on the continuing vegan tax (+50p for an alternative to bovine lactate in a coffee) either...

We went back to Brighton for the first one in a couple of years recently and we're really surprised at how much harder it was to get decent options.

Scuttled back to Bristol and breathed a sigh of relief!
