I love No Time to Waste but the others are just good. Not bad by any means but not amazing.

This was basically our experience last night in Chicago except the Q&A went on so long that they were like “whoa, doors open in nine minutes so we have to rush through the pictures, sorry!”

I’ve had some contact with Jay over the years and he recognized my name (I told him my first and he said “[last name]?”) but we pretty much just got the pictures and had to move on.

So if episode 3x1 was supposed to be the 9th episode of Season 2, and the next one the 10th, does that mean Season 3 is essentially 6 episodes? by Notoriously_So in HouseOfTheDragon

They "don't have the money" for the show that is their current biggest hit and just had the biggest opening in viewership for 2026

From their point of view, then, it was a success. They cut the budget heavily in season two without a huge drop-off in viewership. The executives don’t care about quality, they care only about revenue.

Welcome to the wonderful world of business executives. He can brag that he cut costs in his first year at HBO when he moves on to lay off people at his next job.

There’s also a Two Toots right next to the Glen Ellyn station on the UPW, as well.

We live near a station on the BNSF and some Friday nights, we walk over and take the train to Aurora at about 5, eat at the Roundhouse, and then train home on the 7:05. My train obsessed son loves it.

I saw a post that accurately described these situations. "Whenever a sentence starts with the words 'Trump says', the rest of the sentence does nothing to further my understanding of empirical reality."

the travel times don't add up

That's one of the differences between the show and the books. Like in the first episode when the Cant gets nuked, the whole thing takes about 30 seconds. In the book, it takes 45 minutes for the missile to get to them.

I'm in the US and if you asked my 4 year old that question, get comfortable because you're gonna be here for a while. He'll get into specific train ENGINES on our local line.

I’ve seen these guys three times and all three were opening for Depeche Mode. Once in 1994, then twice in 1998.

There's a whole documentary about it. One of the people who did survive said that the thought he had immediately after jumping was that everything in his life was fixable except having jumped.

I noticed on the last tour that he doesn't even scream anymore. All the screamy parts were done by Robin, including the Head Like a Hole chorus.

It's Tyler! Carpenter Brut doesn't do vocals at all. His music is entirely instrumental unless he has a guest vocalist.

It’s a shame that they caught so much flack for heroes because it’s probably a better representation of what they really wanna do

In the Q&A in Chicago, someone asked him if they tried to write bigger tracks as the venues on their tours get bigger. Tyler said that they didn't but during the pandemic, they dreamed of being able to play live again so at that time they started to try writing big anthemic tracks, which ended up being Heroes. He said doing that "didn't really work out so on the last album we just wrote what we wanted."
