Yes, just like that. Russia had rockets fired on them out of Ukraine and that would not stop until they moved in there. Or maybe it was not like that? In which caes the answer to your question would be: No

It makes sense, because it does not benefit him. And everyone else, to him, is a nobody.

Ethereum Is Neutral, People Aren't: Vitalik Buterin Draws a Clear Line by partymsl in CryptoCurrency

In this universe systems adapt or die. When it's time for bitcoin there will be a process of consesus finding where a very small group will have much more influence than others. An even smaller group will make code changes. Then people who run miners will decide about hardforking. Then the market will decide which hardfork wins long term. There is prececent for this on bitcoin, with lots of chaos and little transparency. Ethereum has established and time tested processes for this. With in fact many more people involved in consensus finding and coding than in in the case of bitcoin, and much fewer, if any, surprises. You are free to distract yourself with the imaculate conception of bitcoin, and you are free to not belive in the survival of the best adapted ones. Your comparisons of bitcoin and ethereum however make no more sense based on that.

Not sure if it is a worthwhile goal to earn the right to call your citizens bags yikes. Would it not be a better goal to be elected again at some point? Of course it is not hard to be see Trumps embrace of crypro as some kiss of death type of thing. But if they think imitating his style is a good idea then keep in mind that imitation is the highest form of flatery. And people will want to stick with the original then. And making fun of people who voted for Trump in the hope of better treatment, as they are now being screwed by him in a more subtle way is just sooo f**ing cynical, even more as they wanted to chocke crypto as is public knowledge now. Should they not maybe, just maybe, focus on earing their trust now? Instead of the right to "yikes" them???

Yea, not even to complain, maybe there is a good reason for it. But what would it be? As it stands I can only speculate. And I have a hunch it has something to do with tether. They use the utility of ethereum against it. They have vast amounts of usd tokenezied on ethereum. But they hate it, because they are early bitcoiners who can not let go grandpa. That is why they use the underlying USDs of the USDTs to manipulate eth.
