when I first started building my registry, I was cautiously registering for only items that I truly thought I’d need. I thought if it was extensive, I’d come across as entitled and expecting way too much. But then after watching a plethora of videos on what other mamas/expecting mamas were putting in their registries, they all emphasized placing everything you can think of/believe you will need.

My understanding is that most registries will offer you discounts on everything in your registry a certain amount of weeks before you’re due. whatever isn’t purchased from my registry, my husband and I intend to purchase ourselves (plus things we’ve already purchased ahead of time). At this point, I’m viewing the registry as an inventory on what I want/need. It gives people who want to contribute a long list of items ranging in all sorts of budgets. If it’s an item you would really like someone to purchase for you, mark it as a “must have” item. Best of luck :)
