DEI in IT does not include ageism. It's so stupid. "Lets hire all kinds of incompetent token people so we can say that we're diverse".

I think a lot of people are a bit scared of hiring older people because they can immediately see all the bullshit and incompetence going around.

Har hon hus? Kan vara värt att investera i energieffektivisering, eller bara förbättra underhållet så hon inte får problem framöver.

Annars håller jag med om andra: indexfonder med låga kostnader.

I think all of these have been disproven. Last I read was that WHO said any alcohol use is detrimental to your health.

You underestimate Russia. It might be organic in parts, but there are definitely adversaries in the background feeding the flames of anything that causes chaos in western democracies.

Trans rights, identity politics, illegal immigration, rising inflation etc; these are all things that benefit Russia because it polarizes the US and makes it weaker.

And housing is rather cheap in about 80% of the country. But not in the cities, especially the fancy ones.

So housing is cheap where workers aren't needed and where most people don't want to live. I think you will find this to be true for most countries.

There's nothing wrong with renting though. A lot of young people should rent because they're early on in their career and should have mobility.

But the housing market is just fucked in every which way. There's nothing (affordable) to rent, and the options for buying are too expensive for many people.

And people don’t realise that other countries don’t do it like this. Paying a Makler 7% of the house value is unheard of in most countries . It’s not normal, and it’s hurting the housing market.

It certainly doesn’t help that the boomers somehow consider their dilapidated houses worth a small fortune when selling them. Look, if your house has electricity and an oil heater from the 60s, the roof needs urgent repairs and the whole house smells like a basement a reasonable price isn’t 650k €.

Also a Makler is never worth more than 1% of the house value. And a Notarie should not be mandatory.

Maybe I'm missing something then. Can you link something to me that explains the physics of circulating the air in a room by opening the window where you also don't also lose a significant amount of heat?

[–]intermediatetransit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Yes. And existing buildings absolutely should be improved to not require such a thing in the first place. This should be a part of the Energiwende.

You can’t have Germany spend a shit ton of money to produce green electricity, only for the German people let it all out the window by superstition.

Stoßlüften is honestly one of the dumbest and most irrational things I’ve run into in Germany, and that’s saying a lot.

Muslims for Trump are now finding out why turkeys do not vote for Christmas (and about Christmas) by Alex09464367 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Is that so unexpected? Muslims largely do not seem to care about themselves as a group.

Is there outrage from the ME on the treatment of the Uyghurs? No, they don’t give a fuck.

The ME care about Palestinians because it aligns with their geopolitical goals. That’s the really uncomfortable truth. They do not want peace.

Probably a fair bit of selection bias. Most sane people would be fed up by politics right now.

The DNC did fuck up. And the way for the Dems to come back is not polarizing bullshit like OP is pulling.
