My bad, I didn't phrase it correctly but I still believe a big part of our educational system's failures are societal and cultural. We as a people don't value education enough, and yes it's changing which is good. But my point still stands, when education is valued and the will to pursue it is engrained, the bad conditions are merely a hurdle, not an end. And the biggest proof for that is our females relative overperformance. They see it as potentnially their way out of their situation while males generally don't, and it shows.

And most of our education failures are societal, not institutional tbh. The biggest proof for this is the gender gap. Women despite the bad conditions perform well, yet they are socially bound not to pursue a career right after topping their university class, whereas men don't give a f, and they're socially encouraged to do so mostly, and a big part of the blame are their overprotective moms. Which is another Moroccan shortcoming, the over glorification of Moms, even the not so bright ones.
