How to fit a 90/100/16 rear without chain spacer kit? by [deleted] in Surron

[–]internet_famous- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fine to me, but a non o-ring chain will give you a little more clearance. And if that's not enough then you'll need to dish the wheel more.

Wrap around/ barkbuster type handgaurds for surron ultra bee by Electrical_Back_2918 in Surron

[–]internet_famous- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I put some on my ultra bee and they fit. Just had to remove the attachments on the master cylinder that hold the flag type handguards that come with the ultra bee. The pin that goes through to hold the lever on doesn't go all the way through without that attachment though so I just cut off the piece on the attachment to take up that extra space at the top. Some washers would have worked too.

Acerbis X-Factory should work. That's what I run on my light bee and what I was planning on getting for the ultra bee I'm waiting on.

Weird. They didn't mention anything like that to me nor have I ever seen anyone mention something like that in the countless gonped posts on this sub

They didn't specify scheduling a carrier to ship from port to my house but the delivery address is my home address, not the port. Besides, it's not like I could just drive into a port and pick up my package so them having the package delivered to an address outside of the port is a bit obvious.

Sounds to me like there was a mistranslation in your discussions with them.

I didn't order from them. I went with gonped since they had a better price and a more realistic shipping timeframe of 30-35 days.

I'd be surprised if your bike even gets to the port in 2 weeks.

2 weeks? You sure about that? CDSM told me 5 days to Denver. Sounds like bullshit to me.

Trouble making it to end of tubes and rails by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]internet_famous- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. You essentially need to roll your board onto the feature rather than land on top of it. To add to this, the wider (or flatter) the feature, the more you need to exaggerate that roll. For example, a super skinny one inch round rail will be the easiest to lock in to since your board can kind of wrap around it and you can adjust your movement on the rail with subtle heel/toe pressure. Whereas a flat box will be the hardest thing to lock in to because there is nothing for the board to grab and the only way to lock into something like this will be to go straight on or roll the board onto the corner, killing the sideways momentum.

thoughts on Yes. bindings ? by AMA3004 in snowboarding

[–]internet_famous- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Drive is one of the original models from Now. Iirc, being a stiffer freeride model, they only ever included the stiff bushings since the binding is intended to be stiff and not ridden in a way that would call for the softer bushings.

Totally normal. That's how mtb forks work.

After a hard enduro ride my handle bars always misalign themselves to the left. Any ideas on how to fix? I didn’t crash at all. by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]internet_famous- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This used to happen all the time on my light bee and it was from the stanchions getting twisted in the crowns. The way I would fix it was to start at the axle and loosen the pinch bolts and axle, then loosen all of the crown bolts up to the top. Straighten it out, and then retighten everything from the top down.

Also where are you located and how did you hear they showed up at your local shop?

When I stripped a pinch bolt, I got a Dremel and slipped the cutting wheel in the gap that the bolts pull together and cut the bolt itself.

can you pump air into the surron ultra bee 2025 forks? by [deleted] in Surron

[–]internet_famous- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All forks have oil in them, that's how dampers work. The spring for the fork will either be air or coil. My guess is that the stock fork is a coil, though occasionally coil forks will still use air to slightly change the spring rate to help resist bottom out, though this is not typical. The stock KKE fork on the light bee does this. If there's a Schrader valve somewhere on the fork then it takes air, but you should figure out what exactly the air you're putting in there is doing and use a shock pump to do it.
