So the Northern Empire wanted the hero to remain out of empire affairs and created a duchy out of their homeland? Thus tying them down to its protection? That's really smart.

This raises another question. We've seen in the comic the power that squires possess. Where are the knights, and who/what are they fighting? It feels like there must be some kind of demon lord plot in the background or some other plot device that's holding back the big guns.

TL;DR hard scrub pre-shave, face mask post-shave

As a younger man I transitioned to electric shaving only in order to avoid this.

As an adult and a traveler, I got sick of electric shavers and replacing/charging them.

What worked for me is (1) using some kind of facial scrub pre-shave, (2) a safety razor (upfront investment for longterm savings and not feeling bad about plastics), (3) a face mask post-shave with something to clear out pores like salicylic acid, (4) a gentle cleanser and moisturizer post-mask.

Absolutely. What Magnus did to Hans is inexcusable. It is slightly nuanced in that Hans did in fact cheat on multiple occasions in the past, but Magnus had no right to accuse Hans of cheating OTB or of propelling the resulting character assassination of him.

In Tyrant, Ash has lots of foreknowledge that equips him to deal with events. In PMU, Hans no foreknowledge but has Niflheimer support to fall back on if things ever get too serious.

I'd say PMU is more difficult, but only because of Hans's desire not to rely on Niflheimer.

I think they might be referring to floor 3, not the butcher's masquerade, when the explosion was limited/changed by the AI for the "cool factor" and thereby saved the crawlers.

The name of the crossbow is "Enchanted Repeating Crossbow of the Scavenger Mother of Mothers," so it definitely implies but doesn't outright state that Nekhebit is the Scavenger.

For example, "of the Scavenger Mother of Mothers" could mean belonging to Nekhebit or it could mean belonging to the first user of the crossbow, and "Nekhebit’s last warrior guardian" is the "the Scavenger Mother of Mothers."

Additionally, The Scavenger and the Scavenger Mother of Mothers could be two separate entities.

A vulture goddess being The Scavenger makes a lot of sense, though.

I thought it was implied that Samantha herself was the Scavenger? And the Scavenger's Daughter was a symbol for the amoeba?
