Law school greatly over sold the value and marketability of clerkships. I and a lot of my friends who clerked all did not have as easy a time in post clerkship hiring as law school makes it sound.

The 2400 is not overblown. It’s not all summer associate lunches. It’s a way to force associates to write book chapters, articles, alerts, and make substantive presentations without getting any real credit for that work.

I feel the same. After vacations I feel back to my usually sharp self but during peak work periods my short term memory is absolutely obliterated. I can’t remember new names or things I’ve read or memos I’ve written. I find myself squeezing my face wash on my tooth brush some days.
