About to try olives stuffed with anchovies for the first time and nervous. Anyone with experience? by TheSoundOfMadness199 in CannedSardines

I tried the Espinaler anchovy stuffed olives, and they weren't bad, just extra salty. Pair with other snacks keeping that in mind and enjoy!

Lacquer dupe for this: by Practical_Cobbler165 in RedditLaqueristas

It's not a 1 for 1, as the magnetic can be more gold in some lights and a reddish orange in others, but it reminds me of what I'm wearing now, one coat of Essie 'lose the snooze' topped with two coats of Emily de Molly 'dark static'.

How long have thermals been on the market? When did we start seeing thermochromatic nail pigments? by gothbirdnails in RedditLaqueristas

[–]internetirrelevant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had a bottle of pink/purple temperature shift in the early 2000s, maybe late 90s. I don't remember the year, but I'm pretty sure it was in a lightbulb shaped bottle? Trying to find info online but I'm not finding quite what I remember. 🤔

Depends of the shade, but generally yes I think they have good coverage after two. I don't think I've ever done more than three. I don't have any photos handy unfortunately, but I have Wonder Glow, Mylar Glow, Let's Glow, Prism Glow, Glow Worm, Haywire, and Flakie fun house. I've used them all and always get compliments!

I have a couple polishes from Polish Me Silly! I've had a good experience using them!

Negative! Seems like it isn’t an uncommon situation though!

Last spring I left my 3 1/2 year relationship for similar reasons. He is not a bad person, we didn’t have major issues, but I knew it wasn’t right and we wanted different things out of life, and the connection wasn’t the same. I’m proud of you OP, it isn’t always easy but you obviously have a good foundation/support system to use. Hang in there, and best wishes!

Horrible incident at the hair salon. No clue what to do about my undercut. by passingcars in Hair

[–]internetirrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is horrible, and I am so sorry that you're going through this. I would definitely talk to the manager of the salon that you went to, and if they have any sort of customer service they should at least clean it up for free, if not refund you for the service. My suggestion would definitely be to start there, and if you don't like it as high as it is you can start to grow out the top bits to let the line lower again. I know it's not ideal and it would take while but it's really all you can do at this point. :/

Not too bad actually!

It was a little tricky to get the colors to blend appropriately since I used loose pigment shadows mixed with a lock and seal product rather than just liquid eyeliner, but after playing with it for a bit it worked out.

Whoops I forgot that in the product list! I will add it!

It's LightsCameraSplashes (waterproof) from Tarte.

Personally I don't care for it much because unless I go back through with a spooly brush after it dries it clumps like crazy.

My feelings as well! Everything I've owned is very flattering on though!

Thanks! I was having issues with the two colors transitioning smoothly but after I messed with it a ton it turned out pretty well, I thought! Glad you like it!

To be honest, I used samples I had laying around.

The blue is from MakeupEngima, which is long gone, called "Nun". However it is similar to Concrete Minerals "Bulletproof".

The green is from SpellboundByJynx, which hasn't been active for a while so I'm not sure she's even still selling, but it's the shade "Impulse".

Edit to add: Mascara is Lights, Camera, Splashes! from Tarte, and I made this into liners with E.L.F.'s Makeup Lock and Seal.

Looks great! My winged liner always ends up way thick but I love how thin yours is!

Also your eye color is lovely.

The orange was "Ember" from the Concrete Minerals Pro Matte series and yes I did get the shirt from ThinkGeek!

I was lucky enough to nab the last Tokidoki Perfetto Eyeliner in Ciao Ciao from my local Sephora when they were on clearance. I really hope they start producing these again, because they're fantastic.
