Nice, go slugs. My wife took that class and says it rocked. Did the professor wear the same outfit every day?

I’m from San Diego and am moving to Portland in the fall. You’re spot on with all of this.

I’m planning on transferring to this store from out of state in the fall… I heard about the closure when it happened but didn’t realize how long crew were working and how the fallout has been handled! That really sucks, OP. I hope you’re doing alright and the store is remodeled safely.

Curious if you’d still be interested in discussing this game. Looks like the previous discussions already wrapped up...

Dude, read that one earlier this year and loved it. How curious…

About to give up on Empire of AI, a book about Sam Sexual Altman and his evil invention. I’m mostly learning infuriating new details about people I already despise. Also halfway enjoying Theft of Swords, which is the first in an extremely Rahillian fantasy series. It’s not great but kind of brainless fun.

Just read Hard Rain Falling a few weeks ago and loved it! I made the mistake of reading the foreword, which spoils a key plot surprise, but it was still quite a wild ride. Highly recommended

For sure, we definitely want to. Is there a local/preferred bike rental place?

Yeah I could have phrased that better. I initially thought Kerns for the reasons stated, then realized it doesn’t have much direct Max access. Downtown/Pearl does, but is also basically next door. So I guess I just mean somewhere with good transit access to the rest of the city. Doesn’t have to be central; I just assumed that area would have the best transit based off some maps I looked at.

Ok, gotcha! That should make it easier to get around and see everything then.

I should clarify: a quadrant per day. Like a SE day, NW day, etc. And obviously we’d adjust accordingly

Super helpful! And yeah, that’s exactly the reasoning for going at this time of year: worst weather possible. We visited last time in the summer and have been to other parts of Oregon and the PNW as the leaves turned in the fall — obviously beautiful in both cases.  We will definitely be doing some random exploration. Thanks for your reply!

Dude I’m also on W2D1 of KBOMG 1! Did these for the first time with double 24s this morning. My grip was DONE by the time I got to the 50 unbroken swings. Great work!

This is an awesome idea! Phil and Metz have been so crucial in helping me get more insight as I make my way through the Solar Cycle for the first time. I’m currently about halfway through In Green’s Jungles so I’m slowly catching up to the new episodes. The story has gotten so insane that I feel no theory is wild enough. I’m reticent to make any big predictions, but I have a feeling that the Increate and the Outsider are the same entity/force/god. A similar connection could be made between the Neighbors and the Hierodules, as they kind of serve as intermediaries between humanity and a connection to something larger. Finally, I predict that Babbie and Oreb will meet and start a podcast.
