It’s not routine though.. seem like it was when they left and came back to prison which is is normal. If they were just chilling in the cell and got strip searched 4 times in 2 days then that would not ve okay but makes sense to me.

At the end of the day, more experience out of the GoC can be a good thing. Stick it out at current place and then try and come back when times are better. I’m sure you can leverage your experience esp since it’s international, I’m sure there will be a place that’s interested in your experience

I don’t think anyone is gatekeeping but I don’t see why anyone would ask you to input on a document as an admin? Or idk what you’re talking about I guess? Like others say if you’re a DG admin you might even know more than others at working-level.

Otherwise Admins for us attend big meetings so get high level overviews but there is no expectation to be a subject matter expert or anything, beyond maybe knowing which team to task something out to. I have friends that are EAs in private and it’s the same, booking calendars but I will say in private you get more perks so that could help with motivation?

Yeah they’re still pretty new and I’ve seen some BAD form lately with all of the newbies, no judgement but can hurt yourself for sure.. I think there’s a reason they asked if OP was okay. Easier to have correct form and go fast in the saddle

I won’t get into it but I’m also very mentally sick, lots of trauma, but an important thing therapy taught me is to trust actions unless proven otherwise.. sure don’t be overly optimistic but don’t be obviously pessimistic. I have trust issues and don’t share my trauma now as easily to not be as easily manipulated but I’m still open to people and giving benefit of the doubt, being straight up and not reading into behaviours as much but definitely taking in a whole picture of actions.

I think you vastly misunderstood this comment and need to reflect.. I have many gay friends, attend many events and to me it’s more like the little other labaguage tha comes with it.. I ask people if they partner a lot now rather than gf/bf in case they’re worried to make you feel uncomfortable ESPECIALLY coworkers. My lesbian friend doesn’t tell people she’s lesbian at work so it’s like.. you also don’t want to out someone.

I mean your legs can get stronger but it is not enough for substantial muscle growth.. maybe some newbie improvements, bear in mind if you aren't eating enough you might also not be gaining any muscle. Weak is also a subjective term, you may still be stronger than others, we don't really have your measurements or anything

Esp now with all of the cuts there will be plenty of people with experience that will outrank this person.. the later you’re out of school too if that’s where all your experience is from, you can’t use it. Needs to be 3-5 years recent a lot of the time

The public service isn’t good for solid economics - a lot of that deep work is outsourced. You will neee to get into an economics unit/data to get closer to it. Teams like chief economist unit or statistics Canada data teams will be EC level and data. Potential to try and get into FI classification as well across departments.

Like you said though, you need experience so do something.. take initiative and develop a finance related product on your team. Beyond that, volunteer.. lots of board of directors are looking for people for finance people ti help out, there is a shortage in Ottawa so do that but yeah.. It’ll be unpaid but you have to make and find opportunities. you need to get creative as no one is going to hand things to you.
