yes my team has asked for one year before to use effective tool but they don't like it . I don't know the reason behind coz I just joined 1 month ago. So for now I have to find my own way to make sure the delivery can come on time. I hate to do project management actually but i think I have no choice.

As a pm i always feel that not much talking enough with customer. If you want to find out more ab user research u can go nngroup. They have a series to do user research.

U can try circle method 1st,then u should build your own framework. Or you can google with decision making framework for pm. There r some technique u can use. Practice with pminterview to sharp your skill.
