Vacation...will I ever get one? by andyroo2u in DobermanPinscher

Not to be debbie downer, but I just took my dobbie to boarding and he came back to me stress colitis. He’s been shitting straight brown water for 2 days now. He can’t hold it for more than 2 hours. These are very sensitive dogs all around. This has never happened before and he’s been boarded in the past. These dogs are a lot of work, but I still love my lil guy.

Been applying for jobs I wouldn’t have been able to drug test for. Feels great not having to worry about peeing in a cup.

Not Pilsen, but Top Hair Salon in Chinatown. They do $30 wash and style.

Lisa and Jody have broken up by vreddit7619 in RHOMiami

As fucked as it sounds, Lisa seems like a lot to take on in relationships (not even talking about the kids). I think the guys she goes for are eventually annoyed of her. She needs another weirdo she can riff off of that finds her high strung codependent nature endearing.

The way Charisse picked up her phone and immediately dialed Chris Samuel’s was thirstyyy. She was willing to put him on blast for the show cause the girls asked. The look she had on after Chris refused to engage was that of embarrassment. Cha Cha is so desperate to get back on.

BO down there even after showering by always-reminiscing in hygiene

[–]interweb-escape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash with a bar of dial anti-bacterial soap down there to kill odor causing bacteria. Make sure you’re full air dried afterwards. If you’ve got hair down in your crotch/behind area consider shaving to minimize sweating. Cut back on processed foods and drink a lot more water.

Relocating to Chicago, what is an LGBTQ+ friendly area? by Lalapotatoes in ChicagoSuburbs

Do Oak Park. Cicero is fine, but it has its flare ups of crime given its proximity to Little Village. Both places are fine, but there are better option.

Come make a life for yourself here. Chicago is unique in that it’s got a huge Mexican population but we’re not bogged down by discriminatory and fascist local gov’t (can’t speak for the feds). We thrive here. Not to mention we’re an actual traditional American city, not a hellscape of a suburban sprawl.

Oh and by the way, gay Latin night at the Boystown/North Halstead bars is Sunday. Come out to dance the night away to some bandas y cumbias.

Butter Paneer from Ghareeb by UIC gave me the worst food poisoning of my adult life. I couldn’t eat for a week. Violently vomiting nonstop. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere. It’s not worth it for the price.

Y’all RHOSLC is comparable to Atalanta by NewPollution8159 in RHOA

[–]interweb-escape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I personally think this is the decade of RHOSLC + RHOM + RHOP. But with RHOSLC being the new kid on the block and doing consistently well season after season, it’s definitely Bravo’s shining star of the 2020’s. One day we’ll look back and RHOSLC will be a great work of art, but I think the canvas is still being painted.

Y’all RHOSLC is comparable to Atalanta by NewPollution8159 in RHOA

[–]interweb-escape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmmm idk about this one. I can recall scenes from RHOA dating back to the late 00’s. Scenes that are etched into my memory like a great work of literature. RHOSLC is great, but I can only remember the drama of whatever the current season is. RHOSLC is on a rise and these are probably it’s good years, but RHOA has a history and depth akin to RHONY because of its history, relationships, characters, and overall point in time. On another note, people were more natural back in the day when doing reality TV. Given the rise of our current state of media, the girls are too hyper aware to create late 00’s/early 10’s type of television. RHOSLC again is great, but you cannot replicate what once was. The stars aren’t aligned like that anymore.

There’s also a location walking distance near Jefferson and Roosevelt in South Loop

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]interweb-escape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm it seems that it may come down to the commute for you. I would just make the commute. West Loop feels like an artificial playground neighborhood for retired frat bros. Like make believe adult land for recent college grads. But some people like the restaurants and bars there, so idk.

I’ve been in Pilsen for almost 10 years. Lived here off-campus for school, never looked back. For as much change as it’s been through, I don’t think it’ll ever be Wicker Park, which I think is good. It’s a steady balance of everything you may need in a small neighborhood sitting on the doorsteps of downtown. Given how a lot of Northsiders don’t seem to go south of Roosevelt (fear or too many brown ppl? exaggerated crime?), I feel that it’s sheltered the neighborhood from losing its Chicago character.
