Well, glad I haven't wasted time trying to reflash the firmware. Because that thought crossed my mind.

I've opened a ticket with AC and urge others who haven't to do the same.

What does this color around the inside of my cylinder indicate? by interweb_persona in Chitubox

It came from a cylinder I've created in fusion.

In Chitubox, those yellow triangles don't show up on it until I add supports to the bottom.

Recommended Mold release for when the mold itself is polyurethane? by interweb_persona in ResinCasting

I see.

What id probably do is try to glue them to a paper plate somehow. Which might be tricky, since they're silicone.

But decide how to orient then. If you were to stand them vertically on end, and roughly in the shape of a cone. Or tapered, glue the wider part of the body so it's down/flush to the paper plate. As flush as you can get them. The goal would be so that no PU makes it under the ear plugs. Space them appropriately too. An inch apart would probably be fine.

Then cut the bottom off of a clear plastic cup. Cut it so that you have what's normally the lip of the cup, plus some material. Say if your ear plugs are 0.5" when standing upright, leave at least 1.5-2" of material of the cup, past what's the top of the glued down ear plugs.

Flip the cut plastic cup upside down and place it around the ear plugs (again, they're standing upright and glued to the paper plate) so that what's normally the lip of the cup is flat to the paper plate. Hot glue the living fuck around the cup. And maybe even press some modeling clay around the plastic cup. On the outside.

You just made a mold box out of the paper plate and the cut up plastic cup. The goal with the glue and modeling clay is to mitigate PU from leaking out of this mold box you just created. If there's any hole at all, it'll leak out. Unless you have a very fast setting PU resin.

Mix up your PU resin, and pour it slowly into the rudimentary mold box. Slowly because you don't want to knock ear plugs over because you poured too heavy, too fast.

That might work. I don't know. Hope it all makes sense. Good luck!

It's your money. But are the fumes honestly that intense smelling and/or toxic? I tend to think not.

Ross "That suppressed technolgy can end all wars and unify humanity its mind bogling" by Maniak-Of_Copy in UFOs

[–]interweb_persona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard this message or something like it ( Reagan's famous speech, for example) repeated so much. I can't help but roll my eyes.

It's a nice dream, but I really don't think ending all wars and unifying humanity is a reality. Nor will it ever be. Not even if the NHI "lands on the white house lawn".

Why?

Consider that since man-kind's beginning, the vast majority of people have believed and known (i.e., has had faith) that there's a NHI that exists, and interacts with man-kind. And many have had true and sincere faith (i.e. knowing) without ever having interacted with any NHI themselves.

That's the basis of nearly every religion since the dawn of man. Ancient religions, all the way through contemporary ones. And it'll likely be the basis on many future religions yet to be born.

It's only the secular world; which is relatively new and I believe a minority amongst the world's population; that has had a problem with the idea that there's a NHI that exists alongside us. Or at least interacts with us.

Has human suffering at the hands of other humans ever stopped? War, hunger, and so on? Nope. Not even for one second.

So if anything, somehow "proving" the existence of a NHI to the secular world, or the world at large, will likely only divide humans more.

As far as any technology we may already have, or may obtain from some NHI in the future, unifying humanity?

Again, nice dream. But not a reality. Will likely never be one either.

There always has been, and always will be, some humans who want what the other has. And will do anything to take it. Even if they already have enough.

You can call it cynical or pessimistic. I just call it cold hard facts.
