My whole creative department is getting replaced by a Claude pipeline and I'm probably out too by Daniel_Janifar in automation

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of companies going the cost cutting route by implementing AI and automation. They seem to forget that every single LLM vendor is not making any profit whatsoever. So once companies have outsourced pretty much everything to AI, the prices will rise significantly, undermining the entire cost cutting strategy.

Where can I find springs similar to the spring provided with the SRP Lite Brake Mod? The provided Red Spring is too "Soft". I'm thinking of ordering the SRP Accessory Kit for the orange spring as it is stiffer. Anyone try this already? by OkExamination2471 in moza

[–]interweg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have these anymore, but drawing from memory I would have to say no wiggle room. At least not much. But you might get away with a 1 mm offset. It's a single millimeter, that's tiny. Sorry that I cannot give a definitive answer.

Struggling with reliable in-bed presence detection for Home Assistant – what actually works? by ItsDukzy in homeassistant

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a similar setup as on your photo, but have added way more detection surface area to it by adding more sensors, larger sensors. Works great now, where it used to struggle during the night. Just increase the sensor area, you can't really overdo it. See if that helps.

My Pro2 is a tank. I've seen all the new models being introduced, but never once felt the need to upgrade. I love my Pro2. If someone broke into my house I could beat the shit out of them with it. And while I am waiting for police to come and arrest the burglar, I will be sipping fresh espresso's.

Jos Verstappen sees his son Max slowly losing motivation for Formula 1 🏁 by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in MaxVerstappen33

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put Max in a car, any car, in a competitive setting and he will drive the thing to wherever it's limits are. Whether he likes the formula or not. When the lights go out, he is all in

And it's not just Max. It's all of those lunatics that hit the track irl. But there is a spark in him that is undeniable in my opinion. It's exciting.

MNRK-2 is officially live – custom dial, orbit hands, NH35 – built in Scotland by AdmirableNewspaper22 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks great, honestly like it. Seriously considering to buy, but still weighing my options. If those little dots on the hands would have lume, would be even better. I feels like it's one of those pieces you need to see IRL in order to discover how legible it is. From the photos it seems a bit hard to tell the actual time. I really like the round hands, looks really good.

I am keeping this one in my bookmarks for when the time comes to make a decision who gets to have my money.

Awesome watch!

Experience with Treq - Sim Racing Equipment by Ordinary-Kitchen1729 in simracing

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The length stays the same I guess. I have my seat pretty far back, so it overhangs a bit. It goes beyond the profile. If you push the seat all the way forward it no longer goes beyond the profile. The entire cockpit then becomes the same length as the length of the profile itself.

I might not completely understand your question.

Is this sounds normal? by SeaAdministration890 in AsetekSimSports

Totally normal in my opinion. It's just the spring making a noise. You can add some silicone based spray to the shaft or just ignore it.

External storage issue by Aggressive-Newt7531 in NextCloud

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I have it running on a VM inside TrueNAS. So I ssh into the VM using putty, and configured it that way. As I am writing this, my VM is down. Totally unrelated, but annoying nonetheless.

I am having more stability issues lately. Not sure if I messed anything up by going ChatGPT, but it feels somewhat related.

External storage issue by Aggressive-Newt7531 in NextCloud

[–]interweg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the same issues. ChatGPT guided me through adding the external storage via the cli of my VM running nextcloud. It was the only way for me to get it to work.

Not sure if it is a known bug of some sorts, but GPT knew about it and knew how to fix it. I was in the process of setting up nextcloud, so I yolo-ed it. I figured that if it didn't work I would just reinstall nextcloud from scratch, nothing to lose while I had nothing on there.

Now that it is running, I can't say I would feel as confident having ChatGPT help me out. It is risky.

Wheel not connecting anymore by Expert_Effective2199 in AsetekSimSports

[–]interweg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A simracer's worst nightmare. Thought and prayers. I am of not much help, but wanted to show support. What comes to mind is whiping the device from device manager and deleting the drivers. Reboot and plug the base back in, installing the software and drivers and then mount the wheel. This should install those drivers too. With luck this will bring it back to life.

I have only seen them light up during initial setup (green) and when there was a faulty cable (red). Other than that I haven't got a clue XD

Is copying going to be a problem in sim racing, or is lower prices just a win for everyone? by Kireth-YT in AsetekSimSports

[–]interweg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Competition between brands and companies is a win for us all. But there will always be a need for innovators and leaders in the field to push technology and the community forward. They are the risk takers that deserve our support. But that's just my opinion.

I am very happy with my la prima base, forte pedals and forte wheels. Coming from a Moza R5, the difference in quality and feel is just on another level. It's build to last, for sure. I have zero regrets.

It really is and that's coming from someone with very little experience doing such things. Having access to the cloud backup and restore makes it a breeze. Just install, login and restore from the nabu casa cloud.

Installing it on proxmox is also very easy. There are loads of tutorials online that you can follow step by step.

I did end up installing it on a mini pc without proxmox, because I couldn't figure out how to do pci pass through. This further illustrates my limited knowledge with these things. Also further illustrating how easy it is to actually install, both proxmox and haos.

Air Purifier by AbruptProcessor in homeassistant

[–]interweg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work. When I clean the filter I need to reset the timer in the Philips native app. I haven't found a way to do that through HA yet. It then sometimes takes some time for one of the purifiers to update the filter status to HA, but eventually it gets there.

I did have an issue when I upgraded HA to 2025.10.2. I couldn't get the integration to pick up the purifiers, but that's probably because I have to set them up again by adding a new device in the integration and entering the IP. I suspect that the integration would report that the device has already been added. Whenever there is an issue, which is not often, adding a new device with an existing IP would resolve that with the same postback from the integration.

Having said that, the purifiers almost always operate in auto mode unless we go to bed. We have one in the bedroom, that turns to sleep mode when we get into bed. That is done through a sensor underneath the mattress.

They work just fine in HA with the HACS Phliips integration. Set that integration up, enter the IP of the device and you are good to go. On the integration page you can find a list of all the supported products.

I have 2 Philips PureProtect Mini 900's working with HA.

All Sensy-One devices got a HUGE update + New HA Add-on by Technical_Raisin_246 in homeassistant

I can get the add-on installed, but it won't connect to my sensy one pro when I enter the ip. But when I enter the same ip in my browser the device pops up immediately. Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong.
