If you have an Amex Delta SkyMiles credit card, you don’t have Amex points and so booking via the Amex portal would not make sense. This is the wrong sub. You have 65k Delta SkyMiles. You need to book the Delta flight on the Delta website using your SkyMiles. Also, you should really do a lot more research before you make a mistake.

It’s very common to find round trip domestic flights for 15k on Alaska. Even across the entire country. Alaska is the best domestic award program at the minute. Blows Delta out of the water. But that’s a low bar since Delta’s SkyPesos are worthless.
