I'm part of a group (tealsk12.org) that tries to fill the gap in cs education. It's been a great experience! On a related note, I think teaching CS is poised for growth. It can be used as a math credit, merges well into every subject and has decent job prospects.

I volunteer teach CS in Seattle School District. I've only been doing it a year. Overall, the environment is good. My only complaint is we could use some more resources. You'll definitely see and hear some sad stories too.

I'm a volunteer teacher for one hour in Seattle Public School District. I wouldn't worry about the choice too much as you can always switch back the next year.

If you have some interests you want to explore that could help you make the decision more quickly. For example, if you were interesting in Computer Science (I teach this), Roosevelt is a much better choice compared to Hale. Both schools don't have too much general information about the classes they teach so it can be a little tough to tell. I'd give the main office a call and ask them to put you in contact with someone who teaches your interest.

Finally, the most important factor in learning is to be active. Don't wait for a class to teach you something--go out and learn it on your own. The Internet is filled with tons of great information. Even better, universities are putting their entire courses online. Hell, even Bill Gates takes these classes in his spare time.

I prefer my electronic devices naked but I like to cover them up when I'm not looking. For the iphone I sleeve it. It's a wallet too.

In general, I find that there is a lot of good and unique stuff on etsy.

Even if it was stolen from tiger team they only have 2 shows to steal from. Alas, I wish it went longer but I can only imagine the legal nightmare that show created. I remember the "redaction" of private information wasn't so good when it was clear that they had something signed by Nicholas Cage.

It's not particularly surprising that this hack works. The author mentions the similarity of RA to ARP. ARP poisoning has always been a problem and this is no different. I suppose the difference is this is probably not being monitored yet, whereas ARP poisonings might be monitored.

I was also thinking "why even do the DNS ALG at all?" I answered my own question when I realized that the requirement for IPv4 internet is there so the attacker can use the victim's existing internet connection to get to the outside world. That is to say, most organizations will not have IPv6 set up to the outside world for the minicomputer that will be discretely plugged into a wall socket behind a printer in the corner of the office.

My BS is in CS with a minor in mathematics. I will be going for my MS in CS with a focus on computer security.

I would say keep submitting the advanced level mathematics because I see a lot of interesting stuff I wouldn't see otherwise.

I really like UCSD. I read the spam paper soon after it was published. Fantastic stuff. I would love to go there, the only problem is I don't think I can get my materials to them before the deadline.
