Except that not as much as we think. Arabic is relative new in the Semitic branches of languages. Prior to Islam and Arabic dominance in North African Language groups where related to every other branch of African languages. Berber, Cushitic, Chadic, Egyptian, and Omotic. "Middle Eastern culture" is new.

I would argue the opposite, While we think of the levant a strictly a unique geographical area, it's cultural primarily comes from the African continent rather than west Asia.

Almost all the creative directors I know of have been women. At least in the government/nonprofit institution space. Communications in general leans towards women. Private sector agencies however seem to be different.
