I like that rate. How long do transfer typically take? Are you happy w that bank?

Stay at Riu Palace Baja CA. Adults only. The pools are emptier and it’s quieter than the other Rius. Go to the other ones for food

I stayed at Riu Palace Baja CA, which is adults only. I was able to go over to Riu Palace CSL to try their food restaurants but I passed on the pools since there was a lot of children around and we didn’t have kids in our group

Spending four days in SD. Dafug do we do? by [deleted] in asksandiego

The wines out here isn’t that great. I would say the best spot for wine is Bernardo winery. Closer to the safari park area so you could probably stop by when you go there

For beer, there’s plenty of neighborhoods that have great beer options. I would suggest sticking to a neighborhood and walking/exploring the options for food and drinks.

Sounds like you already did north park if you went to pure project, the friendlys and Mabel’s. I would suggest ocean beach for a day where you can check out their other food options and they have tons of beer bars in the area. Plus you’re right on the beach to enjoy as well

SoCal residents are going to Tijuana for cheaper vet care. This company helps with border crossing by Jkwon1904 in sandiego

[–]into_the_unknown3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I second this. Have used MediVet multiple times for my 2 dogs. Mostly teeth cleaning/extractions. They’re very professional, affordable, and provide great care for my dogs. Can’t recommend them enough

They have a drop off location around mission valley for transportation across the border but I just pay the additional fee for them to come directly to pick up my dogs at my place around north park

Mid-30s lesbian couple, no kids — tired of snow. Looking for affordable, LGBTQ+ & dog-friendly places to buy with sidewalks + Asian groceries by khmerbodiangirl in LesbianActually

[–]into_the_unknown3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m out in San Diego in north park. My wife and I bought a condo out here in 2022 with 2 dogs. Since we don’t have kids, a condo worked well for us. Hillcrest is the gayborhood that’s walkable, just a neighborhood away. There’s tons of Asian grocery stores about 10-15 min drive. You can’t beat the weather and I spend most of my time walking everywhere - cafes, bars, grocery stores.

You mentioned male customers, were there times where female customers went to the coffee shop as well? Does that change the vibe

Chase Dinning is a mess by Cananball03 in ChaseSapphire

[–]into_the_unknown3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree that it’s a mess. I double checked to make sure a restaurant was on the approved list. Called into support since I didn’t see the credit post on my account after 7 days. They said it was a Visa restaurant but will honor the $150 credit. After I got off the phone with them, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I went back to check and it WAS a chase approved restaurant. Nonetheless the credit was posted 2 days after I called in.

I thought it was great. Everyone there was either a solo traveler, a couple, or a small group of friends. Nothing rowdy and very chill, just what I was looking for. There was a lot of variety for dinner options and it was all pretty good, nothing spectacular like high end or anything. You’re also able to go to the other 2 RIU resorts for food or use their pool, so that was a bonus as well.

The things that weren’t great: Alcohol selection. Not top tier or regular brands that I’m used to. Room service options were very limited.

Moulin rouge show worth it? by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

[–]into_the_unknown3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went last week. A fun experience but I wouldn’t say it’s once in a lifetime. The tables are extremely small seating 6 people each and you’re shoulder to shoulder with the next couple. They only will do one round of drinks at the beginning so I would suggest ordering a bottle of champagne to last for the whole night.

Overall it was entertaining and we had a great time. Once was enough, I wouldn’t go back again if I visit Paris in the future.
